Nothing wrong with Christianity per say, unless of course they belong to certain sects that interpret the Bible in a way that would harm the Hmong ethnic identity (e.g. denying the existence of Chiyou due to young-earth Genesis belief).
Christianity is only one of many different religions available to Hmong/Miao. People who think it is one way or the other is very narrow minded and blind to these facts. Hmong/Miao have traditionally been a mix of shamanists with Confucianism, Taoism, and elements of Buddhism. Islam entered the picture several centuries again and Christianity entered in a little over the last hundred years. I'm sure if we wait long enough, something else will come along. Hmong/Miao aren't one or the other.
@TheHmo0b no.. christianity in china for hmong began way before it reach the hmong in southeast asia. It began in the 1890s, do research and you will find the answers there
wtf wtf wtf..... hmong people go to church there..... omfg omfg dont tell me that they lost there way of shamanism or the tradition like us in america.... hmong in america is losing there tradition.....
@wilsonxrutter China is a communist country which teaches its young people that religion is only for the weak and the elderly and the poor. But it doesn't matter. True religion will survive and even multiply despite opposition.

Many Miao people are Christians, despite attempts by the Chinese government in the past to try to eliminate Christianity.
