From a little test I did I found out the Gilded Sword is stronger than the Master Sword. Story wise the Master Sword is stronger but game play/damage wise the Gilded sword is better. Plus looks better IMO.

There is some flexibility with the gilded sword:

1. you need 100 rupees to have the blacksmith forge your sword to the razor sword. This part HAS to be done on day 1. Make sure not to dull the razor sword

2. goht can be beaten on day 1 or day 2 to open the racetrack.

3. the gold dust can actually be obtained on either day 1 or day 2 since you only use the gold dust on day 2 to forge the razor sword

4. pick up the gilded sword on day 3

you suck at explaining things. First you have to get in turned into the razor sword which is more powerful than your current sword. But after 100 slashes it turns back into your normal sword. But if you use gold dust before you used the razor sword 100 times you get the gilded sword which is even more powerful than the razor sword but is permanent
