Blame the late Frederic Wertham for his role in turning BatMan and Robin into a couple of pantywaists back then. It was only after his death that comic book characters like Todd McFarlane's Spawn etc. came into existence.

just goes to show how much batman rocks. there are so many interpretations that there's bound to be one kind of batman a person likes. it's what makes batman last forever; it's unending interpretations. sure batman & robin sucked like crazy, but without it, there would be no batman begins.

I also remember Wonder Woman teaching kids how to make a spinning top with a pencil a round cardboard paper. She basically punched a hole in the middle of the cardboard, inserted the pencil, and spun it like a top.
