The only explanation I can think of for germany beating this is that satellite appealed to a wider audience in terms of age, style of music etc. But still, this was by far best performance and best song, they will get a huge european fan base from this, I think the lead singer is pretty hot too!!

And after all, I've heard so many people saying they liked Turkey's song way more than Lena's. I believe Germany came up with a one-hit-wonder [not such a good song but well], so winning the contest didn't mean anything.
