  • You have serious issues and none of them are B12.

  • Bubbling in calves = B12 deficiency.

  • Just take sublingual b- vitamins and you get your dose needed. Stick stopper under tongue. Vegetarian diet sucks

  • I just started taking spirulina today, dont think i will bother now haha you have helped me so much!

  • Would love to fuck the shit out of you. I would put a b12 supplement on my peepee and inject it into your mouth for your to swallow. Problem solved.

  • The last time I was pregnant I got a B12 shot and in the information in the vial it said not to have during pregnant and that high doses could be dangerous. I find it very confusing.

  • Naturopathic Drs give NATURAL B 12 and B Complex shots. I feel wonderful afterwards and it helps sustain my energy. I have IBS even when I ate Meat. Meat just slowed my digestion down. So I eat more eggs & occasionally seafood.

  • I like your videos, but they are LONG... I would like to see you condense the talk to highlight points. Did your B12 lab results Increase after adding Meat back into your diet??

  • Meat eaters and Vegetarians are BOTH testing LOW in B12... it's probably in our soil & digestive health since B12 is produced in our gut

  • @lovsoup I agree. Vegetarian animals like sheep, goats and cows make their own B12 somehow so they must be getting it from dirt because plants sure as hell don't have any cobalt in them.

  • @lovsoup I am a meat eater (but not a dairy eater) and I have reason to believe I have b12 deficiency. Just turned in my blood work. We'll see.

  • My god, can you spell VERBOSE? Three minutes of information spread out into 13+...

  • There are people who live years without eating any food at all. I think they are called breatherians, how is this possible to live years on no food or water?

  • I have a auto immune deaseaes called pernecious aneamia that means I can't phycically digest b12. I have to get shots once a month. It makes my red blood cells mutate into megaloglobin and they can't carry oxygen. So its not all about diet....

  • 11:20 Does that mean if you take spirulina its going to stop you absorbing b12 from your diet??

  • @CtrlAltDltYou ...also, i thought there were side effects to taking too much b12, no?

  • thankyou :)

  • vegans have deficiencies in just about all nutrients. that's what happens when you dont eat meat eggs and other animal products.

  • @cirosuperiore Thats totally incorrect. Animal product eaters are just as prone to vit B12 deficiencies as vegans. Also, eating meat, dairy and eggs acidifys the blood and nutrients from the bones and teeth are pulled out to neutralize the acid. So essentially, you piss out your bones and teeth and lose more nutrients overall. A lot of ppl are genetically predisposed to not being able to absorb B12 efficiently. In that case, injections are the answer.

  • in my life i never had any anemia....not even in my family....i just tested and got anemia b 12.... then doctor advised me to take b 12 supplyments.....i got for two months.....i tested i got the level 275....now doctor told me dont take any more....for two months.....is any body recovered from natural food....plz advised me ....

  • So Natasha cant honestly say if she had a b12 deficiency as a child? Thats like blaming someone for stealing money from your wallet but you didnt know how much was there originally.

39% of the US is b12 deficient. Check my vids. Look how many people do b12 injections for weight loss..hundreds of thousands!

  • Sublingual supplementation is as effective as B12 injections as shown in clinical trials. I have autoimmune pernicious anaemia and use B12 oral spray daily. Very cheap and lasts for quite a while. Even better, it's painfree. :)

  • I hope this can be used as a good lesson for everyone else. You can't just take B12 once in a while any more than you can take water once in a while. It's very difficult to pick up B12 while living a modern lifestyle with treated drinking water and your food from modern agriculture. Even cows and other animals have their diets supplemented. I've been vegetarian/vegan for 20 years, always supplemented B12, never had a problem, but I've seen it over and over again with other people.

  • awesome info! Much Love, you rock Natasha!

  • I do not think non-meat eaters are deficient in vitamin b12 or any other vitamins if they eat enough of organic fruits and vegetables. Elephants, rhinos, hippos, etc are raw vegan animals and do not eat meat but they are some of the strongest land animals on the planet. Our teeth and digestive system are similar to these vegan animals. As far as protein goes the human body only needs 5% a day, fruits and veggies contain amino acids which our bodies uses to make our own protein.

  • @MommaEarthHairCare Humans need b12 and animal products are the only reliable source of that vitamin. No point being in denial about it!

  • what about yeast? Marmite has a lot of B12 in it! or edible yeast for vegans!

  • Your job is to advise people about their diet and you have a dangerous B12 deficiency? Don't tell that your customer(s) that you can't manage your own diet.

  • @JoeJC she was taking supplements but not absorbing them?!...

  • I just picked up a "B-6 / Folic acid / B-12" under the tong supplement from Trader Joe's. It contains homocysteine. Will this be useful to take? If not, I've got my receipt. Thanks so much!!!

  • Eat animals, problem solved.

  • Thanks so much for this information! I was told after my blood work that a level of 148 was low and I was 144 (very different from your numbers). I've looked up the sub-lingual B12 that you mentioned. May I ask what your opinion is on Max Stress B Nano-Plex Proprietary Blend? They claim to be a "living" source of B complex with high cell resonance. Is it better than the Methylcobalimin that you mentioned? For now, I bought Natural Factors B12 Cyanocobalimin 1000mcg. Thanks for your videos!

  • B12 as per Don Tolman:

The largest amounts are found in: Nutritional yeast, raw milk. B12 is not found in many vegetables . It is available only from sea vegetables such as Dulse, Kelp, Nori, soy beans and soy products.

I've also read that it is available in Apricots and Tofu. Natasha also said Vegemite ;-)

  • Thank you for your very informative video

  • I'm glad you are feeling better. I was having all kinds of problems. I got tested for everything. They found out I was b12 deficient and I started getting the shots bi-weekly. They helped so much. It's amazing how much one little nutrient can change the way you feel. My Dr. gave me a year supply, so I can give myself the injections. You may be able to get your own vial too. It saves a lot of time and money. You can't OD on b12, so when you start feeling bad, you can just give yourself a shot.

  • thanks friend! i will get my blood tested for this now.

  • Look I like Natasha, Clearly she is doing something wrong to be deficient in B12. A deficiency is very serious and that's why her doctor told her to come in right away. Now people in this day and age you have to know where your food comes from. If you are unknowingly consuming GMO foods you will become deficient very quicky and that is very bad. You see the health industry does not make nay money off you if you are healthy, they need you to be sick TA DA GMO foods. Really it's diabolical

  • @wakeupsheople That is a good point about GMO...something to be aware of :)

  • Eat raw eggs and no more B12 problems. I find the Bacon Group helps too, including Bacon n eggs, bacon bits and back bacon

  • Hi, Natasha, It was brave of you to make this video about your deficiency. However some people want to use this as though a raw food diet is bad for you. But if a person that ate everything they can get their hands on and complain about a deficiency then it is okay.

By the way, according to Dr. Joseph Mercola, author of TOTAL HEALTH PROGRAM, "many insects have vitamin B12." Some people would rather swallow pesticides than termites.B12 deficiency is better than cancer.

  • @ebonybeautyful Well said :)

  • Please read the article "A Vegan No More" at voracious eats dot com. IT WILL RESONATE WITH YOU!!!!!!!

  • Please read the article "A Vegan No More" at voracious eats dot com

  • thank you wery much, wery helpfull!

  • if i only eat cooked quinoa with apples everyday i will be deficient in b12?

  • very very very interesting. i am that much wiser now.

  • Did you say Vegemite? The Australian spread?

  • I guess your Vitamin K overdose. (So many greens)

  • thank you for addressing this! i appreciate your bravery to address a real problem! i love mercola's vitamin b12 spray! you should think about it!

  • Can you please tell me how to go about getting my hormones tested? Something I've been wanting to do for a long time now.

  • hello by detectors; lines sift it off/on, segue if heals vs supply unsyncs b-complex strengths food interplays if by rules. ferment's min 12 o 6high& seems breastmilk iron vs formula yet digestive. now gut receptor may prong folate if fully not opting out fiber's brush, raw tenderize steeped . +air dried greens've organisms adjunct no junk. if bowel's uncooperative bypasssing products solve thing @ time ie coq10 for heart vs all things healthy liver eg next less kidney. goal real til overall ~

  • I ate a Atkins lifestyle for over a year when I was 20 years old. Just under a year into the lifestyle, my doctor ordered a b12 along with the rest of my lab results and I was in the 100 range. Eating meat is NOT the solution people. I ate enough meat for a lifetime and it didn't give me the proper b vitamins. (I don't eat meat anymore...)

  • @suepoo121 There you go! ;)

  • @suepoo121 : Actually meat is the solution, otherwise you take B12 supplements or get the shots. It appears you have an absorption problem which is not that uncommon.

  • @auggiedoggy Sounds like your just making exuses to eat meat. Where as if you truly loved animals and wanted to help the environment etc, then youd just take the injections instead....its not hard....it only takes a minute and it probly costs just as much as if you were to buy meat. Meat is NOT the solution. Meat eaters are just as deficient as vegans. So are you saying that the absorbtion problem will be solved by meat? Come on, highly unlikely.

  • @LuluBre02 : No I'm not saying anything of the kind. While both vegans and meat eaters can have absorption problems, vegans have, as a group, lower serum B12 levels unless they supplement. Also, the only useful sources of B12 are from animals. Vegan B12 sources are useless analogs that our bodies can’t use. So if you aren't using animal-derived B12 supplements (the majority of supplements out there on the market) you aren't technically a vegan.

  • @suepoo121 I am learning how the digestive system must be in proper working order to be able to absorb vitamin b12 from food, no matter wht the source.. And it seems to me that the digestive system can become damaged to various levels which can impari the capacity of the intestines to digest b12 and even other B vitamins from their food. I am also learning how intermittent short term fasting may help in healing/ repair of digestive system. And I am learning how stem cells can be produced by..

  • Just calm down people.

  • Pardon me for being a er wet blanket - but how do you fund this 'lifestyle choice' it does not seem very socially cohesive to be on a diet which not everyone in your country can afford - currently over 70 million people in your country cannot afford to put basic nutritious food on their tables - please ensure educated people like yourself campaign for schemes such as communal gardens and farmers markets are available for those on a low income. There can be no peace or justice if only a few eat

  • @worldviewtuber Hi there. I'm not a raw foodist, but I am vegan and I eat lots of raw veggies and fruits and basically I eat a whole foods diet. The thing that makes this lifestyle choice and other lifestyle choices expensive is the condiments, breads, treats, nuts, seeds, going out to eat, etc. If you were to buy only vegetables, and fruits, it would definitely reduce the cost of the things you're eating. There are people who only eat vegetables and fruits and are perfectly healthy.

  • @MOONFACEx2 You got it right! Been there myself.

  • you cant blame moving and stress on yout deificiency, if the raw food diet was the perfect diet there would be no deficiencies. its okay, natasha. i had to go off of the raw food diet. not enough nutrition in short terms. its not the right diet for me and many other people

  • @hopesolofan18 Cooked food doesn't have more B12; it has less. B12 is not a dietary issue. The body makes it from bacteria on food, water and air. That's where herbivores get it.

  • @Gary1111001 were not herbivores, humans are omnivores

  • @hopesolofan18 Maybe you eat like an omni, but I've done enough reading of the sciences to know what a herbivore is. And even omni doesn't mean you'd somehow NEED another animals muscle. There is no dietary need.

  • @Gary1111001 alright you can do whatever you want. i wasnt healthy as a vegan. now im healthy as an omnivore.

  • Natasha! I'm wanting to start raw in January. I'm extremely overweight and unhealthy and I was told I should detox my body before starting. Is this true? Should I do a complete fast and for how long? Help!!!

    please.

  • @Avrilxxxmac Yes, I thought she looked very healthy, too :) But when she describes how she felt, then it's clear...I guess the effects can be subtle. Sounds like your hubby can't process the B12 he takes in...that's like what Natasha said about her problem, that she could not absorb much from the supplements she was taking, so needed a shot.

  • Ooooou i think i'm gonna do the juice fast with you :) last time i only made it to 8 days. i was moving too lol. Question. what about Aloe Vera? I read somewhere that there is b12 in Aloe... is that not true?

thanks for all your help and inspiration :)

  • Great video on an important issue for those veg and those not - as others have mentioned, this issue is important to look at for all in a "modern" society.

  • @Avrilxxxmac No one's body makes B12...that is why we must all get it from food or supplements.

  • @RockinFilms The bacteria in our intestines make B12.

  • @Gary1111001 That's true but apparently the body does not absorb it from there.

  • Eating raw foods is great however if thats all you do you are killing yourself. Eat eggs they are highly nutritious food as well as beef and fish. You cannot eat just raw foods. sorry Natasha. Also go get some of that wonderful sunshine on your skin, sunscreen free of course.

  • @wakeupsheople Yes, you can just eat raw foods...many do and reverse diseases like cancer and diabetes. Many people have just eaten raw foods for years - look on Youtube alone, there are many videos with people who are raw. There is no need to eat meat or fish either (which are LOADED with pollution that bio-acculamtes)- many people don't eat any of those. See the videos of Gabriel Cousens, among many others, and the numbers are growing all the time.

  • @RockinFilms YES, I can see how it helped Natasha be deficient. Ehhemmm get a clue. I eat raw foods everyday but, not just raw foods alone. Just because humans are poisoning fish and beef does not mean eating them are bad for you. I eat Sushi and Sashimi all the time and feel great.

  • @RockinFilms You are missing the point.... YES eating Poisioned Food is BAD for you.

However, Eating Non Poisioned Beef and Fish is GOOD For You. If humans are poisioning some beef and fish DO NOT CONSUME THOSE PRODUCTS. JUST LIKE GMO FRUITS AND VEGTABLES ARE BAD FOR YOU! Does she know where her food REALLY came from and if it's GMO or not? NOW if you had any LOGIC you would have not posted a stupid response. Based on the fact she has a deficiency she may be consuming GMO FOODS.

  • @wakeupsheople Looks like we are on the same side in that we do not want GMO. We do differ on the meat eating issue. I have been a vegetarian for over 20 years and am very healthy. I came to realize animals have feelings and I didn't want to cause their suffering. I live very well without meat and have no cholesterol issues. I don't want to argue with you, as you seem like a person who does give a damn about what is going on in the world and that's a very good way to be. I only wish you well.

  • @wakeupsheople p.s. You can also look at people like the musician moby and the triathlete Brendan Brazier who are going strong after 20+ years of eating no animal products. These are just a few of many, many people who are healthy long time vegans.

  • @wakeupsheople We HAVE woken up. That's why we don't eat animals; we eat food. There are a billion non-meat eaters who live longer than the average American.

    Vegan - 18 years

    Raw - 2 1/2 years

    and counting!

And I will stand the test of time on Youtube, while this guy's channel has been removed.

  • Marmite is a great way to get B12 as well as other Bs.. but it is very high in B12 and it is vegetarian. I ordered it from Europe and it is a yeast extract.

  • just smoke a joint!

  • @shotgunsmoke sounds like a terrible idea

  • I'm sorry you had to go through this but glad you are taking care. You have shared this and helped many I am sure. I know myself, I am having my daughters go and get their levels checked.... dr's check for vit. D, so they should get for B12... can you spell the best kind of B12 that you talked about? I know it should be sublingual, but the type, I couldnt' make out what you were saying.

  • What deficiency?

  • I just cant wait to see the new natasha with all that b12 in her.(more happy, More smiles)Can it be???

  • Yeah our bodies stop producing b12 as we age. Good info.

  • brewers yeast?

  • Thank you so much for sharing! i am glat your doing ok.

  • I think smoking, especially second hand smoke, along with modern stress, depletes our vitamin reserves in our body, and toxic things then build up in us. Recently got a bottle of multivitamins, long overdue. I do exercices regularly, but the essential vitamins were missing.

  • @trailkeeper 2nd hand smoke is laced with cadmium, yet another heavy metal and is implicated in cancer. You will need a good chelator to get rid of it, like NCD.

  • to supplement B12 i drink rice milk, loads of good vitamins in that milk, never suffered a deficiency with that

  • Why does one move to Asia?

How ? it sounds so overwhelming yet very exciteing.

I was taken a shot a week of B12 and started loosing my eye sight.

i did start using a tablet under my tonge and saw a differenes.

Thanks for the info be blessed.

  • most people eating the SAD are also vitamin B12 deficient, according to Dr Mercola

    B12 should be taken sublingually.

  • @imnotabear Exactly...eating meat is not the solution.

  • I HAVE HASHIMOTO'S DISEASE! CAN YOU HELP ME NATASHA???

  • @midnightmistress8675 check out the channel UndergroundWellness. He's got some info on Hashimoto's.

NATASHA: What about Brewer's Yeast? Is that not a viable source of B12? Thanks

  • THanks for this. I am eating high raw diet and wonder abotu b12 amounts. I do however drink a fortified organic soy milk (silk) and 1 glass has 50% vitamin 12 in 1 glass a day,

thankn you for advising about b12 as I learned that cyanocobalim is derived from CYANO ((cyanide!!!) yikes!!!! Do you feel/think I'm getting enough? that sucks about not getting it from algaes, :(

  • @lukehard242 Really?.. wow!!!!!!!!.. Cyanocobalim is derived from CYANO ((cyanide!!!) ???Cyanide is a heavy metal is it not its one of the toxins that get stored in your body and cannot get out.. unless you chelate it and all the other heavy metals, with NCD, the best chelator available..... Oh my giddy aunt, I have been taking that for I dont know how long.. !! :(((((

  • @paradiseregain I know...I used to take it myself without knowing too!!!! I'm goign to stick with the vanilla silk soy milk (liquid form of b12 supplement added) I called them up this morning and they said they have 3micro grams of it per glass serving. I then rsearched and found this "The German recommendation is 3 micrograms a day. Recommended intakes are usually based on 50% absorption, as this is typical for small amounts from foods." from vegansociety

  • @lukehard242 sorry by glass I mean per cup serving.

  • I am actually unable without you as B8 because it is so essential for me

  • Your videos are very helpful but can you keep it more concise?

  • B12 deficiency comes with a modern lifestyle: chlorinated water, super clean fruit and veg, poor digestive health, salt, spices and condiments that mess up the delicate floral balance in your digestive tract. Most regular food eaters would be B12 deficient if animals weren't fed it, or injected with it, or if process food wasn't fortified with it. Almost the whole of society is supplementing indirectly even knowing about it. I decided to supplement and feel totally fantastic!

  • @eatmoreraw Thanks for sharing! What do you use as supplements?

  • @guitarlovenjc

B12 and D3(5000iu) are what I use regularly, particularly in cold, cloudy and often dark northern UK. I do use other supplements that have really helped with other issues too. I've eased off on them as my body is becoming stronger and healthier. Not cheating on a low fat raw diet helps massively, as does eating lots of greens. Do a search for 'supplement' in my blog to see other things I've tried. I've had success resolving joint issues too.

  • meat eater cannot absorb b12 from meat and dairy the freezing and cooking kill it and making it unuseble

see some lecture of brian clement about raw food and b12 he one of the only people that know what hes talking about in the raw food field

  • 98 % are chemicals and the body cannot use them

try live give b12 its a bactirial form and the only form the body can absorb

  • What a coincidence. I just had a B12 test last week. I don't have the results yet though. I'm surprised with all of the healthy food your are eating that you are so deficient. Now I'm very curious about mine.

Vegemite is quite salty isn't it? I like it but haven't researched it. Does anyone know the ins and out of Vegemite? = )

  • @Pippilly It's yeasty so not ideal for health. People eating animal products get B12 deficiency also, so supplementation is the best way to obtain it.

  • i love your honesty, thank you being real and for sharing! ;-)

  • OMG your always happy :) I love it

  • Take B-Complex capsules for a month. It will cure you.

  • Natasha, good video, as always! :) and i want to compliment you that you look better then ever, i can see you lost some more pounds there! :)

about b12, better check your b12 late then never... i do have deficiency also (260) and i take 1 sl X 5k a day for 2 months now and feel good. i will do blood test again in few months, i'm sure my b12 will be much higher then. :)

it would be nice if you post your next b12 test results,

i hope you read my comment :)

    greetings from Israel,

    Amir

  • Hi there, I'm curious how often you are getting the b12 injections and how many you think you might get?? I got tested recently for the first time as well and was also low. I actually had to request for them to test it. I've had one injection about a month ago and plan on getting another. Just not sure how often I should be doing it with such a low level. .

  • OMG Natasha, please tell me what Doc do I go too?? We have changed for 2 years now and don't want to go to a Reg Doc....I am confused....do I make an appt with a Chiro? Or Western Medicine Doc? I also have kids and not sure:(

  • @Bebba37 hello there. i'm not natasha, but please relax :) there is nothing to get confused over it - it is simple really. if you have a deficiency the best options are methylcobalamin injections (i guess in a very serious deficiency) or sublingual methylcobalamin b12 (i take 1 sl of 5k a day). you could consult with 2 health practitioners to get 2 opinions and make your own mind of what method is best for you. but first you must do b12 test, good luck.

  • So, do you have the auotimmune disease pernicious anemia? We have this in our family and the protocol for my aunt was monthly injections. But, today my mom just told me that there is a new oral drug that can be used that makes the body absorb B-12. My aunt tried it and she's not impressed. She's going back to the monthly injections.

So true that it causes neurological damage when left untreated. Numb hands, slowed brain function, etc....

  • Thank you so much for sharing this info with us!

  • I know you have the B12 deficiency, but are your other blood levels off the charts? Does your doctor ever comment on your eating habits?

  • @Psypomp this is such a good question :)
