With a small amount of money we could make this happen easily. First off we introduce healthy games free on the net. Same Idea as grand theft auto. Instead of gangster struggling in a city in the old system we integrate Jacques ideas into the game. We build community gaming centres that simulate construction equipment. The repetitive part of the job removed in the game so the child can learn the stages and have fun then he can move on to the reward of what he built.

call me pessimistic, i see power-structures in the world and observe how they arise & evolve.. i think there will always be imbalances & heirarchy.
However, we should always work toward flattening it if we possibly can.

You're right, we'll either be realistic about our plight or we wont have a planet to evolve on eventually. Reciprocal cooperation is much needed, and by now that includes the entire globe. It's in ALL of our best interest. People need to get over the children's cartoon version of evolution. It teaches them to fight on the edge of the cliff. BOTH fall off the edge in their ignorance.

Communism is impossible to achieve in a monetary system. As long as you have money, you will always have a dictatorship of the elitists. It always serves those in positions of differential advantage. Same with democracy, or any other kind of system that stresses equality of some sort. You can call this system communism, democracy, socialism, or whatever label you wish to put on it, the fact is, this system has no comparison, so don't label it, or you will never understand it.

Worse yet is the automation of all sectors. First agriculture, then manufacturing and now the service sector is being displaced by machines (ATMs, Self Check-Out, even automated restaurants!).

KOYNDG, you are mistaken. Communism still uses appointed leaders, prisons, armies, social stratification and money. In fact, modern Communistic countries are every bit as Capitalistic as the U.S., the only difference is the degree to which the state intervenes in enterprise.
TVP takes a scientific, technical approach to eliminating scarcity, eliminating the root causes of aberrant behavior as opposed to managing them through quarantine (prisons) and seeks to eliminate government leaders.

There are a great deal of activist ideas discussed daily in the Projects section. There is also a section devoted to The Venus Project, although the entire Movement is centered around TVP to begin with.

about the library, the idea behind it is to make instruments available. if they can try out any instrument in existance (wether it's high or normal quality) they can develop themselves better, and make a good choice on what to choose for yourself. i discussed this with someone yesterday and it could really be possible. it would be awesome!

I was thinking about the public gear library with the musical instruments.. Would people be aloud to own their own instruments? Or would they have to check them out from this library? because I know with musical instruments it can really be subjective what is considered a "good" instrument. Just a minor observation, but it could be applied to almost everything produced in this kind of society. And I guess it would also depend on what you were used to handling/using/wearing etc.

this was potentially an interesting and informative video, but the camera work is so unbelievably off angle, off focus (there's more video of the ground, sky and trees than people), and the speech is inaudible beyond the first part. not only that, but the fool who uploaded it is innumerate -- there are multiples of the same clip and missing parts. it amazing how awfully bad this was -- how could someone so interested in a topic make such a mess of recording it ???

With a small amount of money we could make this happen easily. First off we introduce healthy games free on the net. Same Idea as grand theft auto. Instead of gangster struggling in a city in the old system we integrate Jacques ideas into the game. We build community gaming centres that simulate construction equipment. The repetitive part of the job removed in the game so the child can learn the stages and have fun then he can move on to the reward of what he built.

As a choreographer who read about the human body, i can tell u that the day that i dont go down stairs ( i live in a second floor myself ) i put my hands under the tap running water coz water have electricity also...U body is like a battery that need to be charged coz u brain use electromagnetic signals all the time.....to avoid diseases is better to live on a healthy ground floor..not all grounds are healthy and house prices goes with it.

I have lived in La Paz, Bolivia 4 many years, and to live above the sea level got nothing to do with living in big buildings, the effect living on high natural level is more related to breathing problems, in spanish is called "mal de alturas"..difficulties in breathing coz atmospheric pression but still people are touching the ground.Living in very high artificial man made upper floors got nothing to do with mountains.U body need to touch the ground to be healthy coz it get electricity from it.

Some of us try our best to live this way despite the people around us. It has bothered me since grade school that money runs the world. The government isn't ignorant, so much as they are saving their jobs. Without problems, there is no need for government, hence there will always be problems until we do away with money, and government.

That is true, however, what this man is talking about is a system which is dependent on individual ingenuity to run things rather than having politicians dictate to us. The venus project is not a dictorial control based idea, it is an idea that will put ultimate power in the peoples hands for the better of mankind. It is up to people like you and I who understand that there are alternate routes that politics doesnt offer to take these ideas and allocate that knowledege to others.

How could we build cities in the sea? I live next to the Atlantic in Cornwall, England and it can get very stormy out there. How would structures stand up to waves that can pulverise granite?
