Well if you are right there you are an easy target. There is also a lot of envy - despite the fact most of the haters have no videos or have just uploaded stuff from the TV they believe they deserved to be featured a lot of the time.

After having looked back on a couple of older videos, you do seem to have taken the 'lesser offensive' comments in good jest, and as you say they just seem to be for laughs. Good for you!

Isn't there any sort of YouTube regulations for swearing comments and specific personal attacks? Perhaps in the small print on sign-up, maybe.

Well they seem to turn a blind eye to personally offensive stuff - the guidelines just say block and delete people. They only step in for hate speech.

I had the same problems when I was featured. I didn't mind the general banter and genuinely funny comments but deleted the obviously nasty comments towards me or other people. I ended up turning the comments off.

It's certainly a double edged sword!

A lot of people feel like they need to really dish it, for no other reason than they want to hurt people. They enjoy being sadists. And the anonymity that this site can provide emboldens them even more. And people on You Tube who achieve a certain amount of popularity are choice targets. No reason to apologize for your policy as this page is your place and people should respect that.

I tend to agree, really - I have much better videos that I would rather they had featured. The vegetable videos are too much of an acquired taste.

Some of my favorites are the ones with Ollie - string theory and inter-neti pots and nose piercings. I believe they are more accurate and reliable than the Vegetable Cycle which are occasionally misleading.

Congrats! I totally agree. I was featured early in the year and a flood of hate comments came my way (otherwise, 99 per cent of my comments have been good ones) It's just plain jealousy. I would just ignore the haters (and block them if you need to)

I never can understand the hater comments. There is such a wide range of videos on this site. It only makes sense that some will be more appealing than others to each individual. If you don't like something, click on something else! These people have a lot of time on their hands and no creativity - bad combination.
