  • *Tony D thinking before the post* "ok its an Ab sooooo. . . . i'll just hold it for the next 26 seconds. . . yeah sounds good"

  • Don't misunderstand me though. I love Tony Derosa. Seeing him perform live is unreal

  • @sjyyz1 so I guess you've never heard of Tim Waurick...

  • Tony is just showing off on that last post! They all could have ended the song a few seconds sooner... But what a sound! He's awesome!

  • @Stratocaster07 "Tonight" is very 4/4 - little syncopation, very steady rhythm. "Blue Skies" as done by Keepsake is VERY push-beat. Also consider it's got a lot of minor harmony - does your quartet do this well? Do you sing any other songs of this nature?

  • Tony is outrageous.

  • BEST QUARTET EVER!!

    hands down

  • haha that rocks! Tony's post is about as long as the rest of the song.

  • DEROSA SMAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!

  • There isn't as free and ringing a voice as Joe Connelly

  • Joe is and will always be the strongest lead I have ever seen. He rocks!

  • penultimate chord DISGUSTING gary lewis you monster!

  • @Rubano5428 Great chord yes, but you've got the wrong quartet: roger ross sang tenor with keepsake.

  • @piercewise1 lol i realized that a while ago and i wondered if anyone else would

  • @piercewise1 This is Keepsake.

  • @LilKroog

    It is indeed =P

piercewise1 was answering Rubano5248, who thought it was Gary Lewis singing tenor

  • Keepsake, is, hands down the best Barbershop Quartet ever. Hands down. Ever.

  • Their base is good, but the guy on the far left should never be allowed to take a solo again in this song--sounds terrible. As a group, they sound very good.

  • 25 second post by DeRosa nasty!!

  • If you have a dude who can full voice that tonight -post, then I guess this should be ok. :)

  • I think my favorite part of this performance is from 1:53 to 2:00... the growth of "o-oonnnn...", then the calm, relaxed, tender breath before the come back in on the penultimate "...nnnnow" is just perfect. Well done.

  • They sound exactly like "The Gashouse Gang"

  • Jesus DeRosa is a frickin' monster

  • @ReldenNibla You got that right, he's the only guy I've heard that can hold a note 25 seconds! Total domination!

  • wow man, I never saw this video before... what a great performance!! and what an amazing post by DeRosa!!??

They mad that tag last for ever!! wonderful!

  • between 1:31-1:33, is my favourite part of the song, but nobody seems to nail it like they do in this video. derosa hits his notes so perfectly, that the music actually makes sense, whereas when i hear other quartets doing it, this part sounds like a jumbled mess that just quickly skips to the next phrase lol

  • Wow. This is probably the best I've heard this song sung. excellent.

  • the description says 1996, but her hair says 1986 lol

great post! (both recquilt and DeRosa ;)

  • huhu !!! why is it the first time I watch this video !! ??? They are excellent !! and what a post by Tony DeRosa !!

  • Comment removed

  • That is the absolute definition of 'ring'.

  • I dunno if I've ever seen a quartet milk a tag quite as successfully as Keepsake. One of my favorites, just fantastic.

  • holy crap im supposed 2 be able 2 do DeRosa bari line

  • DeRosa did a great job. Keepsake was and always will be one of my favorites, if not my favorite quartet up till now. Vocal Spectrum is up there too.

  • This is still the best I've ever heard this song performed

  • Does anyone know who arranged this? I'm looking for sheet music, this would take too long to transpose.

  • Clay Hine's arrangement

  • I get to sing this with Awesome Joe Connelly as a tenor in a touring quartet with Jeff Legters and Paul Coleman. I get to the post but I definitely will not be able to do it as long and as awesome as DeRosa, but a least I cna do it. ill put it up on her when we have our first performance.

  • holy crap! the blend from the very edge is incredible! Clay Hine arrangement btw, someone asked down below..

  • Hah Tony with a 25 second post. How awesome is that.

  • coooooooool!!

  • TONY YOU'RE A FREAK!!!

  • woa man. woa

  • The blend in this is just amazing... WOW.

  • Tony FTW.

  • Who arranged this? If I'm not mistaken SPOTLIGHT sang this. Anybody know where I can find/buy it?

  • 20 second post at the end....SWEEEEET !

  • You miscounted, it's actually closer to 30.

  • Actually, its exactly 25. Starts at 1:47, ends at 2:12.

  • You count a post from the breath, not from the high note. He takes a breath at 1:43, which makes it about 29 seconds.

  • Man, Joe and Tony both totally killed their posts... awesome stuff. Keepsake is awesome.

  • OH MY GOSH! I am speachless. That is by far the best version of Blue Skies I have ever heard! Thos guys voices are crystal and so controlled! Huge applause

  • Joe's entrance is amazing!!

  • Tony is so awesome. This quartet was one of the best...

  • The VHS tape plays with the date 1996 on the screen.

  • Are you sure this is not from 1991? They have a silver medal on. This is not tony 1995 poundage either . .. :)

  • haha best version of Blue Skies ive ever heard. very well done.
