Funny as for over 35 years those wheels were called Halibrand wheels that came originally on certain Shelby Cobra 427 models from '65 to '67. All of a sudden a remake of a low budget car chase film starring an all-star cast uses a replica of a '67 GT500 and uses these style of wheels & voila! They're Eleanor wheels-lol
This car is worth less with all these mods to it than if it were in stock condition....

This is not the famous Jim Morrison's GT-500 his car number was #939 and no stripes. Another famous GT-500 is # 943 and used to be Mike Shelbys car. It was gitfed to him by his father Carroll Shelby. This is said to be the favorite color combo of Carroll himself. Night-mist blue With Parchment interior. Mikes car sold for $363,000 at Barrett-Jackson around the same time.
