Musicians always change genres, if you don't like them when they change then don't listen. At least they are good musicians and have the ability to play within the different genres. I am pretty sure when you are an actual musician it is best to be as versatile as possible. As long as they are happy for what they produce I am happy for them.
@klandx91 They changed their sound because almost their entire lineup changed, the only remainder is the singer. Im not saying their not unskilled or not versatile, but I dont think the changeup was for an artistic purpose...

@TehKrakerzGuy The acoustic parts were mostly done by Jeremy Schwartz, who left INK sometime between 2008 when this was released and 2010 when Safe Is Just A Shadow was released. You can find these two songs, plus two demos "Get It Right" (was changed into Build Your Own Disaster for The Burning) and "The Simple Art of Seduction" (awesome song, wasn't turned into an Ice Nine Kills song) on his myspace, his URL is jeremyink
@TehKrakerzGuy Anyone can create the page for it, we just lack info. The majority of what I know is that it was formed in 2006 at their (Spencer + original INK group) high school under the name "Ice Nine" (they later added Kills, I'm not sure where in relation to their change between Pop-Punk/Ska and their Pop-Punk/Emo this happened), and the band members on each album. I just learned that except for Spencer, INK is entirely comprised of the previous members of Remember Tomorrow.

With SIJAS, apparently they got rid of everyone but Spencer and added all the previous members of Remember Tomorrow, which identified as Hardcore / Rock / Screamo. I really don't have any more details than that, but it looks like RT and INK pulled the same stuff at the same time - checking the MySpace blogs, INK signed to 'Ferret' records in May of 2009, and Remember Tomorrow broke up about a year later. INK is still on RBR it seems. I don't really get it.

Musicians always change genres, if you don't like them when they change then don't listen. At least they are good musicians and have the ability to play within the different genres. I am pretty sure when you are an actual musician it is best to be as versatile as possible. As long as they are happy for what they produce I am happy for them.

its funny, i had only heard the slower songs by Ice Nine Kills like this and Study Hall, and my friend had only heard of some the faster songs and i was like have you heard of Ice nine kills and he was like yeah, so i asked if he had heard this song and he said no so he listened to it that night and he was like wtf i didn't know ice nine kills played acoustic songs.
