thanks for these merriweather recordings!! i was there @ that show dressed in american soldier uniform,, while i was stationed there....got a few pics. of my mom and I,,, she seen them a bunch on this tour.. me...twice on this tour,, maybe san diego comin' up and a total of ten times throughout the years!! tnx agn!!!

This song is so thoughtful...and deep...Geoff looks like a good father....and a very cool one at that..I have admired him since the 80's.....I can feel what a father might be feeling as he is so far away from his family....not knowing the future.....would love to make a video, with this song...to express the love...fear...sadness...that a father would be feeling as he sits in the sand...writing that letter.....my God....how would that feel??

Wonderful video..love Geoff and his daughter. I been a military wife for over 30 years , and have shared the same fears, same tears, and same proudness that makes us all Americans, with other military families..Freedom isn't free..and if Geoff wants to sing with his beautiful daughter..so be it. He is free to share his pride with the rest of us! Thank you Geoff for this beautiful song! For those of you that feel he is doing wrong..go back to your country! Who cares if your Greek!

well i have children and i don' t like the way he exposes his child. i am a 39 year old greek woman, a queensryche fan on 80's and 90's and i always admired their thoughtful lyrics, their straight political ideas and the way they handled media.They used to be so discreet ., Geoff Tate exposes so much his family now, and his life in general. The rest of the group doesn't even exist.

As for their music ...American Soldier is not bad, but has no musical identity.
