  • Supras will always be modified, and if they come out with a new model someday, the only reason someone will buy one is because the know about the last generation of supras and what they can do. No one has to like that supras get modded all day, but if anyone reading these really is a supra fan, check out this video I have posted below. Its not a paid spot, but this guy knows what the fuck he is doing.....

  • @iJustDontGiveAShit Are there many un-modified Supra's left? I would pay more for an unmodified one, but I had a difficult time when searching. The majority of sales listings had at least a paragraph explaining the modifications.

  • oh well atleast 2jz is cheap and easy to get your hands on. I like v8s but you have to admit that the 2jz is the most cost effective way to make 500 horsepower. For about 3 grand you could have 500 horsepower, for the same 3 grand you could buy a stock 200 horsepower 350sbc crate motor. I grew up on v8s but you have to admit the 2jz come with better internals and the heads flow better. Im not saying you couldnt get the smae power out of a small block, you would just have to change internals.

  • @chevyman5436 yeh the main difference is the displacement. All of those motors had 7 liters of displacement 426hemi 454 chevy ect. Think of a turbo like bolting on more displacement the, 2jz is only 3 liters but with a massive turbo it can flow alot of air. You can also gain alot of power by spinning higher rpms. The Dohc setup is safer at high rpms because you have less moving parts. Not that you cant spin up 16 vavle pushrod motors. Nascar motors rev to 9000 but they only have to last 500 mile

  • @donwonjon420 A 2JZ isn't cheap to modify at all, did someone fuck you in your mouth and hit your brain? It has cost and STILL costs nearly 80,000 - 100,000 dollars to build a 1200whp Supra, while it costs maybe a quarter that to buy an L92 or LS2, stroke it to a 377, if built correctly with something like a front mount Borg Warner S-trim on the car it'd make close to 2000whp for maybe 15,000 if you did the work yourself.

  • @Jutzujin It doesn't cost 80-100k to build a 1200whp Supra. You can build a 1200whp Supra for 50k done properly. Also I haven't seen a 1200whp LS build go for only $15,000 EVER. I have to pay 15,000 in my C5 Z06 to make 800whp.

  • @Jutzujin You can buy a JDM spec 2JZ motor with an auto trans for $2000 bucks and forged internals for not that much. A junkyard LS motor build is cheaper than a Junkyard 2JZ build but $100,000 is an exaggeration unless you are rebuilding the entire car. Also if 1200whp builds for LS motors were so cheap everyone and their mother would have 1000+ whp LS motors.

  • @Jutzujin your on fucking crack mate ls2s can handel about 600rwhp on stocker internals the 2jz can handle 800 and it has 3 litres less capacity. even a built lsx needs to use aftermarket block crank and valves whilst you can retain the stock 2jz block and crank of upwards to 2000hp. yes you can do that in an lsx even more so with alot more torque but ital cost 3 times as much as building a 2jzgte factor in you need twice as many parts to build a v8 then a straight 6.

  • @Jutzujin and who the fuck builds fully custom built lsx motors themselfs? plus 15 k wouldnt even cover the cost of the parts needed to built a shortblock not includineg turbos, ecu, intercooler, gaskets getting everything machined. all the equipment needed would cost atleast 7k. so thats 20k plus just for a shortblock in bits and tools. it be cheaper to get it built at a shop in the long run and it wont seize first time you crank it. im not saying your wrong just sounds abit far fetched.

  • @twinturboteen18 I bought an old style rebuilt 5.7 long block ( 4 bolt ) and put in a set of forged pistons, a high lift medium duration bump stick and ported a pair of rebuilt iron heads, added aluminum intake and a high end holley carb, and a 200 nitro wet kit ( plate kit ) and for under 4k I had a 400hp engine 600 hp with the fogger that pushed a 74 vega down the 1/4 in the 11's the trick is matching the compression and the timing and not buying the super long duration cam if you spray.

  • @Jutzujin and how about the trans ? cant use the stocko chev gear as that will fucking peel apart with the lsx's torque so thats atleast another 4k for a decent built powerglide whilst the supra can keep its orginal 6 speed manual fact is man its way way cheaper to build a big power 2jz then any v8. Im not dissing 8s at all i love them and you will get more power and torque relaibly above 1000hp but i know from expereince how much costlyer it is to build a v8 turbo/supercharged over a 6 turbo.

    youre a fail. supra's 2JZ 6 cyl 3 liter engine is the legend of all motors. can you imagine it doing well over 2000 hp? you bet. its design is amazing. holds powers not even close to any similar displacement engine. closed deck cast iron bloc, stock-forged internals hold up to 700 horses. dont mess with it. you might regret that.

    The piping to the IC looks to be pretty small as well actually. Could be a lot of back pressure just due to that. (Thats only from what I could see it might be 3"+ piping but it dosn't look like it)

You can see the sparks coming from that tire (steel belts in the tire hitting the steel dyno roller) before the pop and smoke. No smoke ever comes from the engine compartment. Pick a vid where the engine actually blows up and not a tire. And yes, NO ENGINE is invincible

    ok i have respect for those gnx but 12secs they did not stock and they had a turbo 3.8 Liters. and they are rare. and i like rare cars. but if you put both on a real track i think you know whos gonna win this kind of race. but its a cool car those gnx.
