K to settle everything here. Ford says the 01 Bullitt has 5 more HP and they never specifically state how much more torque. But if u throw ur bullitt on a dyno you make much more. My bullitt has not been dynod but I no people who have and they make upwards of 10-15 more hp stock and in one case 30 more tq. I've raced 2 04 gts and never lost then to see if it was the driver I switched to my buddy's gt and he drove my bullitt. I lost by 3 car lengths. Don't underestimate any Bullitt
Bullitts were made on 01 and again in 08 and a few spilled over into the09 production year too, but not many. They made areound 6600ish in the 08 09 production and I believe around 6000 in 01

It's amazing what can happen when the person with the more powerful car dosen't know how to drive. I had no problem keeping up with a Bullitt a while back in my '95 GT. All I have is a cold air intake, under drive pulleys and 3.73 gear.
Na, taller gear ratio, cai and premium octane tune, less restrictive exhaust, MUCH better suspension. with 93 in it still only puts out 315hp, but the torque increases noticeably, stock bullitt's can do 4.9 0-60 with a good driver, gts 5.6 with a good driver.
@nsspartan77 you're an idiot. GT=260hp Bullitt=265hp. 2V pretty much suck, sorry to burst your bubble. Mach 1's put out 315hp, but they're also a 4V motor, right below the 03-04 Cobras in mustang higherarchy.

@MustanGT2003 well the roundedness means nothing, for all we know it could be an 08 w/ agent 47 mirrors, and they made the bullitt 08, its an 08-09 (not just 09) spread, only 7700 were made, mine is 3937 (a 2008). damn yall need to read up on some things before you go posting
@nsspartan77 But its not. You can see the reflection of Bullit wheels in the other car. And when you get a glimpse of the mirror you can see sharp and straight body lines that are only found on the 99-04 Mustangs. You can also make out the door handle that is specific to those years as well
depends on the GT. I've raced a Bullitt and beat him. Granted my car now puts down 268whp and 310tq. The main reason bullits are fast is gearing. They do have more TQ but they are practically the same car.

I run their too and it SUCKS! in the heat of summer in that high elevation and bad track....it makes a world of difference. some have said it can make almost a second difference at times from sealevel in good weather. my old 97 cobra was in the low 14s and it was very quick on the street...I outran lt1s all the time and ran with several ls1s with minor mods and was still in the 14s. I hate bristol
a good driver makes more of a difference then 10-15 hp...but with equal variables and drivers the bullit is gonna win every time. it's not the same as a GT either. the intake, throttle body, pullis, suspension, brakes, are all different...as well as the cosmetic changes and honestly I think the bullits are killer...it's an awesome platform to start from and it'll be worth more in the future, modded or unmodded. I really dig the looks
@midnight347 dont forget the exhaust and tune are slightly different. on paper the bullitt doesn't sound much faster but all the little things add up. i have a bullitt and when it was stock its walked away from gt's fairly easily. they were close but no contest. the interior is awesome in the bullitts too. my favorite interior in the 99-04 platform.

they must be modified seeing as a dyno reads wheel horse power and not flywheel and bullits and gt's are rated at the flywheel my 03 is rated 260 stock im making 250 at the wheels from MINOR mods it made around 240 at the wheels stock.
oh no sir the gt stock has about 220-228 at the wheels (manual) auto 210-220 ive seen them dynoed and talked to for people my uncle has an 01 its fast now but thyre kinda slow for a v8 muscle car from the factory

When my Bullitt was stock I would spank GT's right and left, It's the driver mainly. Now that I'm modded I won't waste my time on a stock GT.

gt might have been modded... Even stock for stock it is still a drivers race. 10-15 hp doesnt make a huge difference.
