Sounds like a great birth, except for the epidural not working like it should. So glad to see a planned epidural on YT. Still not sure if I'm going to go there myself, but I'm betting I will. Why been in agony if you don't have to be? Both of your boys are complete cuties!
@perfectnpink100 Lol, he was farting on me the whole time after that! Little farts mcgee. And YES! I always heard that when you're able to push it makes it feel so much better and I just couldn't believe it.....until it actually happened. What a relief to push. :)
I only had contractions in my ass. I don't even know what a normal contraction feels like, all I know is I had the poo's and only felt massive pain and pressure in my butt. I guess they call that back labor? Felt strange to me! I still go back and forth on the epidural. Did it without the first time, but I dunno about the second time. I'll just go with it I guess. No birth plan, no expectations. We are SO similar when it comes to our views on birthing our babies! haha. Loved your video!
@holdendmb Just getting a taste of how tings actually felt not being completely numb....I don't think I could do a completely pain medication free labor and delivery. Holy crap. That stuff is intense. Lol.
@holdendmb And also....I am SO happy I didn't have contractions in my butt the entire time. Lol. They were all in my abdomen/uterus/upper leg area. If they were in my ass the entire time I don't think I could have handled it! lol.
@wErHoPiNg4BaBy It actually wasn't too bad. I mean, that night of the 28th it was false labor and ended up stopping....as bad as I wanted it to continue. Lol. It all REALLY started back up thenight of the 30th after 7pm and he was born at 725am....so it wasn't too long, ya know? And yes....that pitocin kicked me up to 10cm and ready to push in just minutes....which was awesome. Like seriously...how can your body just STOP progressing once it's so far along. blows my mind. Lol.
You are so funny! I love your descriptions of things! I'm glad things progressed rather well...what a blessing in disguise that it's a blur --times of dilation and progression---at least it didn't drag on like CRAZY.I'm glad they broke your water....sucky that the numbness kind of went away on the right side.....I can't even imagine how much that'd suck. I can't wait to have my body back too! eeek! so exciting! thank you for sharing!
Great story! Sounds like everything went really well :) I am hoping that when i have to have the antibiotics that i dont poo like you did the first time, but hey i guess there isnt much i can do lol. glad that didnt happen to you this time! And getting him out in 6 pushes is amazing! you go girl!! and im so excited to have her out and to have my body back i cant imagine how good that must feel!
@TeaandTimW707 You know, I asked the nurses and doctors if they had ever seen anything like that before (the whole diarrhea thing) and they all said they had NEVER seen anyone react to it like that. So seriously....it had to have been a huge fluke. And you're right about the body thing. It's LOVELY being able to bend over completely and not have your back hurt and to roll over in bed and to drink an entire glass of water and NOT have to pee 5 minutes later and then every 2 mins following. Lol.
Totally understood the snapping at the husband while in labor thing. My husband likes to make jokes to " take my mind off the pain " - right. *rolls eyes*. I love him to death but sometimes he just kills me. Glad your pushing this time was shorter than with Charlie - mine was the same way this time luckily. An hour and a half with Isabella and like maybe 5-10 mins with Silas - a welcome break!! I can't believe that you had to come back and wait in the waiting room - I would have been like
@mrssaraprice Man Im so thankful too....about the pushing thing. I mean...I only pushed for about 30 minutes with Charlie which I know isn't too bad but to cut that down to about 6 minutes with Jack...SCORE. lol. And yeah....the husbands....gotta love em. :)
Jenny I am so proud of you. My epidural wore off and yeah it totally feels like you are taking the shit of your life!!!! I am glad that you didn't have to push for hours. How is Charlie doing with the new baby?
@PeskyPCOS The biggest most important shit ever. Lol.
Charlie is doing good with him. He'll smile when we put Jack near him and when he's on the changing part of the playard Charlie will try to grab his feet but other than that Charlie just kind of does his own thing and hangs out. Like Jack doesn't even exist yet.
love that you actually posted video too :) very cool..You don't seem fake and you just seem like a nice down to earth person."forget the haters" keep doing what you do.I have never been on here or even cared to comment on anything on You tube till last week when I was looking up hsg test.very informative and helpful! your great and congrats on your new little baby.I don't have any questions 'Yet' still in the process of ttc! do you facebook by chance? cant wait to see more pics of Jack ;-)
@1swwtkw Thank you! I did have a facebook that was for youtube specifically but I started to have issues with some of the girls who were either my "friends" or friends of friends and there was always drama (thankfully, I wasnt involved in all of it) almost every other day.....so I deleted it and just have my personal family and friends page.
i loved the clip of you in labor - proof that you're a REAL person :P so glad everything went well for you & jack [and that you avoided the massive poops!!!]. congratulations!
Why do men feel the need to be abnoxious at inappropriate times?!! LOL Like when Ryan zoomed in on your face while you were having a contraction...gawd I would have biffed him! haha! Patrick always tried to take "candid" pictures of me and it pisses me off, I don't look pretty when I'm caught off guard, tell me when to say "cheese" haha--- Glad the little guy is here, you handled the L&D like pro :)
YAY! Congratulations!! I have a question for you, Are you plan on having another and will you decide to ttc so that all the kids are very close in age like Charlie and Jack are or will you have a larger age gap. If we get the chance we would love to have our kids close in age like that. :) Glad to hear you did poo all over the place. lol. I love how open and honest you are about stuff like that.
@babydreams87 Oh man, my husband is already joking about starting to plan for #3. Im like....You dont have to carry the baby....we're waiting! The plan as of right now is to wait until Jack is at least 1 year and 3 months. That way if we get lucky and get pregnant right away again there will be 2 years between that one and Jack. BUT....who knows....if things end up not being so hard we might try earlier. Kind play it by ear. :) Im still trying to figure out if I want a #3...a girl might be nice.
@jengilbert3369 Thanks dude. You know how it is though.....it seems like no matter what you do someones going to have a problem with it because its not what THEY would do. :)
@MUSleger I think my motivation to get it done was because the first week we had Jack home my husbands dad was visiting....and then in a few days my mom will be here for a week, then the day after she leaves my husband mom will be here for a week....so it was either now or not for a loooong time. :) And even though the epi wore out on me towards the end I'm glad I was able to feel some of it. It totally helped.
@SunnyZoey11 Thank you! Its so crazy how much smoother everything went this time. Like...I thought Charlie took it easy on me but Jack totally took it easier. :)
@laurasarah2011 You don't even know how nice it is to be able to completely bend over to pick toys up off the floor now. And to not have to pee every 5 minutes. I love it. Lol. So far having the 2 is easy peasy just because Jack sleeps ALL day. And thankfully my husband is off work for a few weeks so I have his help around the house. :) We'll see how it goes when he goes back to work though.
Yay! Loved hearing your labor story =) I'm glad you shared clips of you in labor, a lot of women don't do that, it was great to see. He is so adorable, I'm so happy for you =)
@ObbsAndLala Yay! I specifically wanted some clips of me in labor just so I could share them with everyone. Lol. Weird? I dunno. I wish I could have gotten some of when shit REALLY hit the fan but a.) I didnt even think of it by that point and b.) I probably would have scared some girls. Haha.
I am so glad your ass didn't blow out and Charlie is so so sooo adorable. I think Edison and him would play so awesome together! Congrats again, Jack is a cutie pie! :)
@alana09199 Dude seriously....thats the only way I could explain it. And towards the end I was so scared to "push" when I felt that pressure because I thought I was just going to poop everywhere. Lol. But no...the poop feeling was actually Jacks poor little head pressing into my butt. :) I cant WAIT to meet Edison and watch him and Charlie together.
@swinesburg2759 Once he stops sleeping ALL day I do plan to do a video with him in....maybe discussing how mom and baby both are doing and how Charlie is adapting to having Jack around. And yes, no bad poo....just a tiny bit of normal poo....which is ok by me! :)
Congrats! You did awesome!! You are such a strong mama!! 2 babies in one year! My epidural completely wore off in the middle of my c-section!! It was NOT fun! I ended up getting knocked out because after shooting meds in again it didn't help.
@TheTurnersJourney Thanks Kailin! I can't wait for you to meet your little lady! I'll probably cry when I see that first mommy/daughter video. Do you have any ideas yet on whether or not you want to do video clips during your labor?
@deathcabforjenny oh you know it! I have a friend that is a photographer and bringing her beauitful camera to get pics and recording of the whole thing. plus Ill have my Iphone and cameras too just in case and to get extra photage. it will be crazyyyy to do the first mommy/baby vlog!!!
Hoping you and baby Jack are doing well! We know you're a busy momma, but we still miss you!!
