Music FILM has been around since 1940 - but few record companies used them - they were expensive to produce and did very little for sales - unless they were used on TV.

AFTER MTV was born - and proven to increase record sales by showing a video to the record - over and over - ALL music companies stared using music videos as a tax deductible promotional tool!!! And this included some record companies - that made videos of old songs from the music FILM that had been shot YEARS before!

There were videos - but they were called music films or "shorts". The idea of the music video only came out when MTV offered record companies a place to showcase videos. Otherwise - they were limited to TV specials and talk shows so viewers were very limited - making the videos very expensive!!

And the Delorian-12 (only model made) in just under 2 years of production - only had 9,000 stainless steel cars made - 3 were special ordered gold plated and final assembly was in Ohio!!!

I found that can happen too, audio out of sync or distortion. Have you downloaded 'Any Video Converter?' It's free from CNET, converts to & from any standard/format. I found FLV seems to work well on youtube, rather than mpeg & AVI etc.. I first saw this original at Pink Floyd Wembley 1988, tho' when I went to see Roger solo, he played a different version again. The Best was Radio Kaos at Wembley 1987. Just.. Brilliant..! very political.. but have't seen it since.
