To clarify for everyone: I'm not claiming that Relto is actually Myst island. It isn't. However, Yeesha did design Relto to look like Myst.

She says: "It was the first Age I wrote - a gift for my parents... and now, much more. It reminds me of another home; another place. I even placed the library in the place it belongs."

The "rebirth" I mention in the description is not literal, but metaphorical.

Because of chronology issues (Myst V occuring after URU), it is not possible for Retlo to be Myst Island. But I believe that Myst Island's state in the fifth game prevents it from being a really happy ending. Yeesha say's it cursed, but how? What did Myst do to her that was offscreen?

Andrewnuva199, it is possible for Relto to be Myst Island. The game Uru has the full name "Uru: Ages Beyond Myst" because the game takes place at an unspecified time after all the games in the main Myst series. Myst could've deteriorated and (because the linking book to Myst Island is lost) Yeesha could've wrote the linking book to Myst and called it Relto because of the way it does not look very similar to the original Myst Island and she could've mistaken it for a new age.

Don't take the "Beyond" thing seriously. There's already been official confirmation that the events in Uru before Myst Onilne Uru Live Season 1 occur in 2003-2004, and Myst V occurs in 2005. Heck, they've already made someone from the DRC the Myst v Stranger, as the one from the orginal games is dead by that time, which has upset many fans.

@Andrewnuva199 Man, that sucks that fans are upset over this. Technically, I can understand WHY: it means that "I" am no longer that Stranger in Myst 5. However, I see the necesity of having a set character name to allow a fixed chronology/timeline, else Myst Online wouldn't make much sense ("I saved the Least!" "No, I did!" "No, it was me!") and it allows for a new main character if/when they start doing major story arcs again.

Because the linking book to Myst Island was lost, and because there were no inhabitants, Yeesha created a linking book to what she thought was Relto but was really just an aged Myst Island, because of course this game takes place at an unspecified time after Myst V.

It's not impossible for her to have written the linking book to it.

Myst (the first game) takes place just over 200 years ago. The ruined Myst Island you can see is in Myst V, which takes place in 2005.

Yes, clouds were moving, butterflies were flying, and the imager was changing.. It was flight mode in offline Uru.

What a beautiful tribute to the island where so many of us first arrived so many years ago. The music is very appropriate, and the effects are superb. I just wished that it hadn't ended so soon. Seeing Myst in ruins brings tears to my eyes, but it's rebirth in Relto is very uplifting. Well done indeed. ^_^
