  • hey jeff i was thinking about a bolt action in 223 but then i decided to go with an ar but they all have like 1:9 twist which isnt recommended for lighter rounds. what would the effects be if i did use a lighter round in it?

  • One-in-nine will work very well for bullet weights from 40 to 69 grains.

    Jeff

  • Is the barrel a cut rifled barrel, button cut? do you know who makes their barrels? Is it shaw, douglass, krieger, compass lake??

  • They make their own barrels, but I do not know by what method.

    Jeff

  • In Beards We Trust

  • Outstanding shot group.... Jeff, do you know the weight of that rifle?

  • I apologize for the delay in answering. I have been at Gunsite in Arizona shooting some new Ruger products all week, with no access to email.

As listed in the text of the review, it weighs eleven and one-third pounds.

    Jeff

  • You sir, have THE greatest beard in the history of mankind!

  • How would it compare against a JP rifle?

  • @Emery98 ...ask a dead ground hog a 500 meters...do you think they know if they get slammed by a les baer super varmint, jp, anderson or others????

  • That gun looks like a giant piece of quality workmanship.

  • 1:58 Modified Texas Flag WIN!!!

  • How much do their rifles run pricewise?

  • Does corn grow on Rockytop ?

  • Nope - dirt's too rocky by far.

It grows fine here in the lush and fertile Tennessee Valley, though!

  • nice

  • That is a fantastic looking rifle, I could defiantly use that for ground hogs this spring.

  • Question; Does Anderson used a heavy mil spec buff and USGI M16 bolt carrier / bolt in their bulids?

  • @Everett07630 *use*

  • @Everett07630 *buffer*

    Yes they do.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thanks for the info. I've been eyeing up Anderson and BCM Rifle Company AR-15's - tough choice because I like both companies and their builds.

  • does it have a high grade price tag to go with the high grade parts ?

  • I apologize for the delay in answering. I have been at Gunsite in Arizona shooting some new Ruger products all week, with no access to email.

Yes it does. Quality costs money. Just as they do not grind up rib-eye steaks to make 99 cent hot dogs, quality components make for a relatively high price in an AR rifle..

  • @Gunblastdotcom

Hey, no problem, hope ya had fun. Thanks for the info! :)

  • 4,000 fps??

  • @mememojo lol 3150

  • Varmint?Pretty damn big varmint you're bringing down with that

  • @VinnyS914 coyote at best.

  • Was that 100 yard?

  • That one wasn't anywhere near the best group. The group shown in the video was 1", fired with American Marksman Stryker ammo. Best accuracy was Black Hills' 69-grainer at 3/8" Very accurate rifle. Several different loads grouped into 1/2" or less. Very accurate rifle.

  • Jeff, gotten a hold of century's "m16a1 copy"? If so, anything about it ?

  • I apologize for the delay in answering. I have been at Gunsite in Arizona shooting some new Ruger products all week, with no access to email.

I have no experience with that one.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thanks, Jeff.

  • Thanks for the mobile link!

  • Jeff , Dang NICE Furnature

  • Looks like quite the tac driver. Excellent choice of optics too.

  • Very nice rifle. I need a varmint rifle and this ar may be the ticket. Thanks Jeff

  • Hey Jeff, I'm turning 21 and want to buy a handgun to get my concealed carry permit, what would you recommend for an every-day carry type of pistol?

  • @asheradensein Glock 19 is one to consider.

  • @asheradensein Banana.

  • @asheradensein: ruger lcp .380

enough stop for the pop, light, small, feels good in the hand (or mine at least, you'd have to try it out for yourself)

  • @asheradensein The Kel-Tec PF-9 is a good edc gun.

  • @asheradensein Taurus pt111 ended up being my choice for actual holster carry. It's a good compromise that doesn't sacrifice too much accuracy or have a crappy trigger like the keltecs. Nothing wrong with a keltec for pocket carry or something but for holster carry I'd check out other options.

  • @smttysmth02gt

    Thanks, man.

It needs to be small enough and light enough to carry everyday, everywhere. For most, that means a small 380 auto or 38 revolver.
