  • I found 1/2 cup of butter a bit too much, will try to use less next time. Did anyone else find it too much or is it just me?

  • Could someone please give me a good recipe for apple crisp which 1) has neither oatmeal nor walnuts in the topping AND 2) a recipe in which the apple FILLING has some cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice, flour, or some combination of those ingredients mixed in (many of the 'no oatmeal apple crisp' recipes have all the sugar/ cinnamon in the topping only, and not in the filling). I think that the filling might be bland if nothing at all is added to the apples, before coating the apples with the topping

  • @Jibjub80 You could substitute oatmeal with crushed biscuits like digestives or graham. You can make the topping as you would normally do and just add in the apples or sprinkle some cinnamon/sugar on them before adding the topping.

  • Yum that looks good. I love apple anything. I like using chopped almonds better though rather than oats. That just happens to be my personal taste. But yeah, I'd sit and eat that whole thing. LOL
