Well, i believe it´s all about personal taste. I like the sound V6 optimax engines makes, but i also like Yamaha V6 4-strokes and the Merc inline 6 4-strokes.

wow wow wow thoes motors sing at that speed.the only thing that is wrong is the boat.you should have the motors on a ray glass protector or a naiad.i told the wellington coast guard to get the F350A when they where looking for there new mtors but they got suzis F300 V6.the boat is 12 ton and dose 36 knotes into a head wind of 25 knots with the motors at %35 tilt

Maybe, maybe not. I am a great believer in "the BS stops when the flag drops" theory. I know Propeller Magazine NZ did a comparision test on all 300 HP outboards on a 7.6M craft. The Yamaha V8 300 was quicker than the 300 Verado by 3.4 MPH and quicker in accelleration 0>40 by 20% while having better MPG from 25MPH onwards.
