Chechnya would be better off as a part of the RF, in my humble opinion. Afeter all, the Chechen are mostly Muslims, Chechnya is small, and has OIL. Thus, she is a perfect target for the Western Imperialists. She would, I think, be wize to remain under the Motherland's defensive umbrella. Of course, it would help if the Russians smarten up and start treating the Chechen with the respect they deserve! New Treaty would help.

I think what would happen is, Turkey would invade Chechnya. And the Turks would not play nice they would completely wipe out the chechens (they know how to deal with their own kind).
