I believe that what sets her apart from other dancers in this variation is how she is not only "on time" on those quick passes but she's truly "in the rhythm". She's actually LISTENING to the song, going along with it, like she is an instrument - a thing a lot of dancers unfortunately don't do anymore. Great musical sense!

And not to mention the expression! She is Kitri like in all the ways love Kitri: Fierce, playful and oh so charming!

legs like that can be dangerous, her knees bend way to far to the wrong side if you know what I mean. Looks nice though ;]

Yep, they're naturally hyperextended. I'm exactly the same way, and it can be both a blessing and a curse. You have to have stronger thigh muscles to control your knees, which is why her legs (and mine) are a little thicker than some of those stick-like ballerinas. But yeah, not only is it aesthetic for ballet, but it really entertains friends when they find out your legs go backwards!

There are plenty of famous male dancers that have extremely hyper extended legs. No names come to me at the moment but one can usually not tell if guys legs are super hyperextended because they usually have more muscular calfs than girls (for jumping purposes etc etc)

shes an amazing dancer and not only in this variation watch her in kitri in 1st act shes the best kitri the kirov has and in giselle olesya is lovely and her hiperextended legs are amazing!!!! she has impressed me as kitri shes the kind of girl with soft lines who everybody wants to see in giselle or swan lake but she has demonstrate she could manage every single role and make it amazing with her beautiful body her amazing technique and her beautiful stage prescense!!!!! brava for olesya!!!!

the variation is really basic but the difficulty is on the speed she needs. i definitely thing she did it perfect. great lines and feets just like every russian dancer but her face in the whole performance was remarkable.... i looove her quicks passes lol
