  • i think ethiopians/eritreans are called Habesh (especially the non-muslims) in yemen... The muslims of our region had more contact with yemen... mainly because of religion.

  • Here's something. After my family migrated from Ethiopia, I was raised in Taiz, Yemen. As children, from the window of 3rd floor of our building, we used to stay up late and listen to the "Akhdam", black yemenis, play and dance to these tunes. Those were the days. Thank you, you brought back sweet memories. =)

  • Al-Akhdam... so these are the black yemenis...very "unpopular" in yemen if we say so... have a bad reputation... and who knows why, they are not a minority in yemen.. whole tihama is populated by al-akhdam..soqotra... kamaran... and sure all the towns...where you counted as one of akhdam?

  • this song called "ya mechija" it's the song for the bride on the wedding day
