The beauty about their music is that you don't have to like the genre to love the music. It's such a mix between feelings you experience in this song that it can drag you away by itself!

I just saw a plug in Guitar Player magazine. How terrific to be able to go straight to this site and hear it. this seems to be a genre that is the final amalgamation of the western musical canon, I especially like the electronica...reminds me of William Orbit, whose work I greatly admire. Good stuff

I agree with LuisCArenas... please don't compare Riverside to Porc Tree or Dream Theater or Tool... I enjoy all the bands but really don't consider them comparable other than they are a form of prog metal. Riverside has it's own unique sound IMHO and it's fantastic... just enjoy it all. Be glad we have access to it regardless of what stupid sh*t they play on the radio!

Want to see less references to Tool (horrible) and Dream Theater (overrated) on music with real talent. James LaBrie is a cunt and Petrucci is not a god. Only good things to come out of DT is Jordan Rudess. This is Riverside. They are Riverside. Enjoy it without so much reference.

@ImperiumDarkness Well i for one think tool is amazing, dream theatre i find tough to listen to since theyre music is all over the place, but LTE is their best product. But riverside tops both of them, theyre music is all over the place in a great flowing manner that tool possesses.

I find both band amazingly good and comparing them to Riverside is an awful thing, not because any of them are bad bands, but because they are so different. Yes, they are considered Prog Metal, but that goes over so many genres that comparing Tool or DT to Riverside is like comparing King Crimson to Periphery. Yes, both are Prog, but come on. They don't have a comparison point beside that.

I must laugh at the Dream Theater comment getting all the thumbs up. I do like these guys mixing it up, but to say they are equal or better to 5 of the best musicians to ever walk our planet is just ignorant.  I enjoy Riverside, but lets be honest, they at their best could never in any area touch Dream Theater.

@cbucza Not sure I agree completely, but without question I do acknowledge that there is a difference in what each band's message is and what they value. DT sings about deliverance from chemicals, stem cell debate, new world order, modern psychology, and so-on. Yeah these issues are much more about preaching to the mind and not the heart, so I will give you that. Early DT was more to the heart like you said, but I prefer the mind, guess it is just my heartless nature :) Good Day friend

DT recent changes (in music) is missing the mood ...

At the moment I listen to Kate Bush, Aerial. One could argue that they are wise

and silly lyrics, certainly no lack of great soul here, in the texts and music. I do not know if the expressed clearly, I tried:) I know it's completely different music, but the connection, cause now I listen to:).
