My dad owned a bar and I remember the cops coming in to play the "ripper tapes" and everyone gathering round. We were living in Kirkstall and I remember the shock when he started killing in Headingly about a mile from where we lived. Seems incredible now and was odd as a child to be aware of this evil murderer out there.
Not one of these poor ladies deserved this. These ladies were targeted for a single reason... because they were women, God bless each and every one of them, No one deserves to die, and no one deserves to be brutally taken the way that this sick b*stard took them from their families. Those victims and those lucky enough to survive should never be forgotten because this could so easily happen again. God help us all if it does. Amen to these poor girls. Rest in peace. God bless always.
OR, maybe I don't do anything like that and just think that just because they do that, doesn't mean they deserve to be slaughtered like that because they're a fellow human being?
Sutcliffe is an artist and the sluts he killed are his canvas. Peters skills with a hammer quite quite simply poetry. Can one compare Peter to summers day?
The police have never told the public the Ripper's motive for his killing spree. It was to wind them up because he hated them with a passion. Prostitutes were just innocent pawns in the game between him and the police and the police were always keen to deflect the motive as a hatred for prostitutes. Nothing could be further from the truth. Sutcliffe became the copycat ripper who confessed to the lot to get the police off the hook. They knew he was not the ripper.
Richard McCann cant get his head around the fact that his mother was a prostitute and she was murdered by the Ripper. He is in denial of that because Sutcliffe confessed to it but if you read the statement he made about Wilma McCann there are so many glaring facts that its obvious that Sutcliffe was giving them a story as part of his deal to get leniency for his own murders.

Make up any old crap, ascribe your own ideas and motives to a man whose mother was murdered, whatever - so long as it helps your 'theories'. The shocking thing at the time as I remember was the press reporting of 'innocent' women being killed as well (i.e. not prostitutes).
