Socialism/marxism doesn't reject personal private property... it only rejects private ownership of 'the means of production' i.e. big business and banks and utilities etc.
This is made explicit in the .communist manifesto' by Marx.
it is not about greed it is all about the human spirit which is intertwined with individualism. There is nothing wrong with empathy for helping him but socialism is sick. I think Obama wants to break the US economy once and for all in order to redesign in a European marxist view. The US is not his to do this he only a stewart for the people and Constitution.
greedy is not part of human nature, you only believe that is because in the capitalist world people need to make money to protect themselves and their families
and there is nothing wrong with marxism, socialism is good. it works! in europe and australia and other modernised countries it totally works and it's awesome. no more fending for your self everybody helps one another by just paying taxes.
I find it interesting how capitalists, esspecially the Libertarian ones, think they are so "revolutionary" and "bad ass" for making the same arguments that have been pounded into our heads since 5th grade. Human Nature! Millions Dead! Competition! Blah! Blah! Blah!
Do they really think they are "free thinkers"? It perplexes me? I mean, quoting Thomas Jefferson in the USA is about as "revolutionary" as Quoting Stalin in 1930s Russia. Please. Real Rebels think for themselves!
Your kidding right I grew up in Liberal California and ever since I was small my teachers were always tearing down the US espicallly white males. I felt guilty and upset when the subject of history came up Since I was white and male. It finally drove me into the arms of our Founding Fathers and Rush Limbaugh. I am a Republican and belive that Libertians are outdated they wallow in the antiquity of the revolution but often do not truly understand it. Just as Marxist wallow in Lenin.
believe it or not republicans aren't true the republic anymore, your government is not like it was when the usa was formed.
the constitution is meant to protect the people from it's government, many of the constitutions laws have been broken in the need for "homeland security" great two buildings fall and america is a totaltarian state
Who told you Socialism means you have to give up what you already have in your home? You have no idea what you are talking about. Let me tell you what Capitalism is:
Saying money is representation of wealth, which it is not, Capitalism brings the evil out in people, and all the strive for growth you are forgetting one thing:
Look at the disaster we are making of our planet with this need for growth,a bunch of fat, overeating, over credit zipping, nation destroying Capitalists, you can have them.
is a perfect example of a know nothing capitalist. we all know these old arguments, and comrades, are we not tired of answering them. why argue with a chimp.
The US needs to revive its working-class traditions of protest. Join a socialist party - get involved in building an alternative to the failed system of crapitalism.
Yes; Crapitalism has failed! We need to get back to Capitalism; what our country has been founded on and what other socialist countries are moving to.
I think socialism will probably only be established by a militant overthrow of capitalist regime, comrades. Otherwise you might as well stand on your hand and say the sky is falling. please don't arrest me for saying that.
You guys are speaking a lot of truth on a lot of issues. But if you think socialism is the answer, you are suckers. The capitalists and socialists are controlled by the same puppetmasters.
Watch "Zeitgeist Addendum"... Some interesting ideas there... Socialism has produced nothing but misery in every country where it has taken hold. This will soon be seen in the "friendly" socialist nations of Europe, Canada, etc. Capitalism Vs. Socialism/Communism... False dichotomy. Think of something new.

The only problem is, Communism seeks to abolish the wage system entirely.
Anarcho-Collectivists believe that a wage system still must be retained based on the amount of labor performed.

ANSWER the biggest group against the war in Iraq was started by communists.
So was United For Peace and Justice.

You'll never have your "real" or "pure" capitalism again- the emergance of democracy and workers rights have taken care of that.

Socialism has differences.
Communism is different and never was etablished as Marx wished it to be.

It would only be nice if these people actually knew their ideas are pro-socialist.
In America, there is a strong censorship of 'communism'. No one knows what the hell it is.
