I was always a Dj fan number one and a Mark fan second back then, but I just never could rap my mind around Mark being upset about Jarrett not helping him, he had been around long enough to know things happen...but it is the Daytona 500

I like while they were interviewing Jarrett his camera was just moving and rotating in the backround. It kinda caught my eye.

So Ford has one good year and every GM fan loses it saying it's the worst speedweeks ever because Ford had an "advantage." You guys act like Chevy hasn't had a huge advantage 25 out of the last 30 years....I'm a Chevy fan by the way.

I remember growing up (born in 86) dying to watch this race each year. I'm an Earnhardt fan - always have been and always will be. Anyway, 1998 was such a high point. The 2000 race was absolutely terrible. If you were driving a ford, you could win. If you weren't - you couldn't. Simple as that. One of the worst races I've ever watched. Then of course, the next year Senior died. The 500 has never been the same for me - still looking forward to it but... yeah.

agreed with roadwarrior, what kinda stupid question was that!? I mean Benson is working with a unsponsored (other then lycos) car against big dollar ford teams...4 to 5 fords against one underfunded pontiac of course the odds was against him and of course he did is darnest to win the race! I just think Benson wasn't agressive enough to block low when Jarrett had the momentum going out of turn 1...oh well but i was sure proud to see Benson battling for the win!

This was cake for Dale Jarrett, he had the best car BY FAR at the race...no question. The Fords had the advantage. This 500 was boring...this race was a HUGE dissapointment as far as watching it.

As watching it?!? Speedweeks sucked in general! Only 14 lead changes throughout the entire Speedweeks. They had about twice as much without the 500 next year! 2000 Speedweeks sucked!

They had 49 lead changes in the 2001 500. They had 9 in this one
