After a difficult shooting day, the guys can be seen laughing in that scene because Michael Richards cut his head by pushing a real air conditioner in the trunk of the car. The script said that the car would start but it didn't. Larry and Jerry thought it was an ever better ending and used this scene nonetheless. The laughing was reduced by editing the more obvious angles, but there's a blooper of the unedited scene
