@R3alEP1C you can use regular printer paper as long as it is heavy enough to hold the glue without tearing and heavy enough to hold the ink without bleeding
I just learned u can revearse this whole process with rubbing alcohol. I did a sticker that way way to big, and the fold in the middle did not allow for the glue to hold properly. It prevented it from being seemless in the middle. I almost had a heart attack, but luckily I did some testing before on spare Lexan, And I was able to very easily remove the decal, than really easily remove all the glue with rubbing alcohol. It is working great, except I did a too complex of a piece for it to hold.
I have a question can I use pictuers printed on normal printer paper and another question can I also use stickers and if i can how would I remaove the sicky side of the sticker because if you use the sticky side on the body it will be backwards Thanks I hope this will help for some people message me instead of comment
Hey, i was in a Hobby-Shop, near me...they didnt got the XXX Lexan Glue, but the UHU Plast ...and it sticks Plastic with Paper and they said for that what i want, is it good...shure i like to get one of yours...but i try it with UHU^^ XD ...do you mean it works?
its Great!!! But im Swiss so i dont understeand all of it...so i have to ask: did u use a normal (no coloured) Glue? ...and the Picture you want, have to be on thin paper, right? i hope you answer ;D
@gwerder1 you have to use lexan picture glue available at hobby shop or online at tower hobbies ...you cannot use regular glue cause it will crack when dry and make your body look like hell and the picture you use can be from a magazine or comic book
@barrettski189 yes any pic from a mag works great ...i have done a playboy body already and someone bought from me before i could use it....it comes out great
i have a question. i want to repaint my rc cars bodie, i was told that all paint goes inside the body. but obviously this wont work with a pre painted body, so would a coat or 2 or 5 (to be safe lol) coats of clear coat or laquor be enough to protect the outside paint from scratches and scuffs?
no you cant........ normal glue doesn't bend so it will crack on the body when its dry.......the picture glue is formulated to bend with the body and not crack
Just wondering cuz I LOVE spiderman and couldn't find any spidey bodies so I bought a blue rustler body and my friends parents are making me some stickers that I can apply on the top of the vehicle!
If after you have found your desired design from a magazine or comic or whatever would it be an idea to spray the back of the image white before cutting it out. for two reasons to save spraying white over it after it's applied and 2 to strengthen the image making it tougher to damage the graphic whilst squeezing the glue out. would spraying the image first make the material its printed on go wrinkley if its not applied to a solid surface?
How did you do the webbing? Did you use pictures for that too? I wouldn't think so. I guess you used airbrush or liquid mask for that? I am making a Colossus body. Thanks for the informative video.

is it possible for the paint to bleed through on top of the image because i printed out an image thats white colored and am planning to paint the body black please reply!
Would this work on the outside of a shell?? I only ask cause I've got a Lunchbox which has an opaque shell. I would obviously paint the back rather than the front of the image. How could I seal the picture?
i actually freehand paint the inside of my bodies, but after watching this im wondering if regular elmers glue would work? Reason being is because im in an area where this stuff is extremely hard to get. im 600 miles away from the nearest hobby shop.

Doesn'y sanding the inside of the body make it opaque and "scratched" not clear?
FloridaPoolGuy 2 years ago
the sanding gives the glue more surface area to attach to. The glue will fill these scratches and dry as a completely clean and shiny surface.

This is really awesome!! Looks professional

can you just do it with that kind of glue?

1) if the paint is waterproof then yes
2) yes you can overlap two pieces but the first has to be tottaly dry
war723 3 years ago
why wont elmers glue work? im actualy curious and wana try it out.
speedfreak3d 4 years ago
cause it isnt flexible enough when it dries it will get to hard and start cracking.
just like the paint needs to be a polycarb paint so it will be flexible and not chip off.
