I was there on August 3rd. Great night in tent before the show-drank all the beer we had ( poor judgement ). The day was loaded with shite support acts!!!!!! Waited till god knows what time for Zep. F**k,were they good?!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best gigs ever!!!!!! I'd love to have a dvd of the whole gig - please Mr Page, release it for us!!
@molly3ish Both The 4th and 11th are out in Full on DvD through Cosmic Energy Have a search like I did Cost Me about £25 , Well Worth It also picked up Earls Court 75 Full Concert for £15 , Better Playing on 75 Concert , Still got the Ticket and Programme from 79, Great Memories If only we could go back in Time!!!!!
-Do bluesy bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Joplin, Doors, Hendrix, and The Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, Using your open mind take the time to hear my tunes... And in case if you end up liking it, your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.
I was there on 3rd August, waiting all night for the gates to open in the early hours of 4th August, sustaining multiple injuries from beer can wars and crowds charging. I guess it was all worth it to see my favourite band again on stage. I saw them at Sydney Showground on 27 Feb 1972, and that event changed my life. Oh, by the way, this clip is my own silent footage shot on an 8mm Eumig camera. I still have it. Pity this film transfer is so poor, but someone's done a good job on sound dubbing.
I was there Aug 11th, It was every bit a amazing as you imagine. Feel sorry we've let young people down by letting music become so corporate and pants since these days. £7.50 for the weekend ticket (still got mine). Met Robert a few years later and got my programme signed! Some arse stole it, :-(
I was there too, about 20yrs old. Can anyone remember it taking about 1/2 an hour to get to the bogs and back and having to take a back-bearing to get back to who you were there with? I remember plenty of guys smoking pot at the foot of coppers who basically couldn't do squat about it. Also the birds had no problem in getting their tits out for the lads. Happy days!!
I was 16 years old and there having the time of my life. Does anyone else remember people trying to turn over the police van?. My mate and I joined in breaking into the arena even though we had tickets and spending a wet night locked inside with a couple of thousand others only to be woken by Chas and Dave mad but happy times. I just wish i could go back now im older
I was 16 also, know nothing about the police van but remember pushing a gate and fence down as they seemed to have losed a key toopen the gate. Close call if that or Pink Floyds the Wall (1st concerts) in Earls Court were the best Ive ever seen. Both fantastic and so different.
i was there and my brother threw a rock hard pie at this drunk guy ho was dancing like a moron!!! He didn't get up and achieved his on applaud!! btw 50 now!!!
I was there for the Aug 11th show. I had only just turned 15 (46 now!) and smoked my first joint causing me to forget most of the show : ( Thanks for posting this and helping jog my memory : )
@jansplays Did you see Mick , Bonzo's Bro there as well. apparently he was in the Lighting Rig as well according to his Book, What an Experience for me as a 16 yr old , Both Gigs 4th and 11 th will never forget it. Jeffers

The toilets were fantastic.Nothing like a big hole covered in splintery plywood...
Some dopey tart earlier in the day kept standing up until an apple came flying in from behind me and scored a direct hit on head...Hillarious..
