dont see why people bash on V6 mustangs...i love them, with a proper exaust it will sound like a V8. they got some decent punch, they suprisingly handel noticbly better and they get half decent fuel efficency, somthing like 20 MPG avarage.

Many of you guys are forgetting the fact is a V8 will beat a V6 even if they are they same hp and tq rating b/c the V8 has better top and they maintain thier power better b/c they have a broader power band. Even if you turbo you V6 you will still lose fuel economy everytime you run a boost. So you should have just bought a V8. All in the 90s and early 2000s GT Mustang's get the same fuel ecomony as a V8 and do not require high compression for 91 octane.
theres 2 saleen body kits for that year of mustang. theres the real saleen kit wich i think its ugly and theres the 2nd saleen kit that i like that this guy has wich its called STALKER STYLE kit.
I have the same body kit and cobra R rims and double wing (yellow) but it doesn't sound that good. I have a v6 as well, what is your setup for the exhaust. Sounds amazing!!

If you cant do your own work then yeah, a stock V8 may be the way to go. Im not hung up on the V8 thing, the Frist Mustangs from day one were 6's they were aimed at taking out the British 4s of the 1960s and they smoked em thats why you dont see em anymore. The Stang concept from day one was a 6cyl Roadster not a muscle car.

Shoulda bought a V8. I had the same year as this car but a V8 and I made 480rwhp and 507rwtq with a turbo @ 8psi of boost. LOL Sure you could have a V6 turbo that makes 384hp but I will make more than that all motor. :D

@ACEGAMER120 you can get the v6 mustang to pull just as hard as the V8 mustang, but it will also be just as reliable, and better on gas. simply bolt on performance, and a set of 4:10 rear gears and ur set.

i love mustangs but the 95gt 5L is a slug. with 2000 buck and 3.73s youd be low 14s. i took a 128rwhp 98v6 and put a 15year old m90 on and now i make 210rwhp/305rwtq or 262hp/380tq crank, an its a 13 second car with 3.45s. its an auto to so id make more with stick an i get 600+km a tank compared to the 300-400km a tank with the 5.0. a v8 is good for n/a power. even the 95 cobra runs 14.0 only thing changed from the 95gt is better heads/intake it has 240hp/285tq. my m90 costed 2000 installed :D

V6s also weren't built as well as the V8s. They weren't built to withstand the HP of a V8 so V8s are more powerful in their time and they are more durable which means they are better for pushing the throttle. V6s in these cars are fine for everything but racing. That why the GTs didn't have V6s in these years.

While yes a V8 makes better power on motor with OEM tech, ANY motor with money into it can go fast. Like I said, it's cubic dollars. A 4 banger civic can 10s ON MOTOR! Of course it has 30 grand just in the shortblock. it's not always about hp, it's how well the combo works. A 400hp V8 can lose to a 350hp V6. I'm not just talking about torque values either. Todays V6s are very potent.

It has 3.73 gears. I doubt a crown vic can do that. When I got the HP tested at my friend's shop, it put out 207hp @ 4800rpm. Thats only with the dual exhaust, intake, ported headers, and a proper tune. As memory serves me, the 95 v6 had 145hp stock.
But at the end of the day it's a V6 mustang . The only V6 Mustangs that are worth anything are the Shelby Terlingua (375 HP) and the latest 2011 V6 Mustang (300HP).
@kpj200 Lol, i love haters of V6. I also love V6 because they put out better torque numbers than v8's, are alot lighter, and you can build v6's to be really powerful for very cheap.
I know of a guy running 9's in the 1/4 mile in a v6 stang with 638rwhp and 648rwtq relatively cheap. Also, if you take a 3.8 supercoupe out of a t-bird the engine will outlast pretty much any v8 you build. Its 1 of 2 motors ford build that passed the 24 hour stress test.
I dont know whats in the car but it when its idling it sounds like my car u need to replace the alternator if u want to stop that annoying humming and i know how annoying it is cuz thats exactly how mine sounds

Yeah dumbass SO was I. You only need about $4,000 to make a V6 faster than a GT you dumb fuck. If you have connections its probably even cheaper. So 4g's in mods to a 6er really doesnt come out to double the cost of a V8.

I'm saying for every thousand you spend in mods on a GT you'd have to spend two thousand on a V6 to get similar results. I didn't say that the cost of mods on a v6 equals twice as much as the cost of an entire GT...

@fourstar7 You CAN have more HP in a V6 with aftermarket parts than a stock V8, however, the only problem is, V6 engines weren't built as well as the V8 and neither were the transmissions that went with the V6s. Not saying they're not decent, just saying I wouldn't one, especially when I'm looking for reliable performance.

@ACEGAMER120 you can get the v6 mustang to pull just as hard as the V8 mustang, but it will also be just as reliable, and better on gas. simply bolt on performance, and a set of 4:10 rear gears and ur set.

i love mustangs but the 95gt 5L is a slug. with 2000 buck and 3.73s youd be low 14s. i took a 128rwhp 98v6 and put a 15year old m90 on and now i make 210rwhp/305rwtq or 262hp/380tq crank, an its a 13 second car with 3.45s. its an auto to so id make more with stick an i get 600+km a tank compared to the 300-400km a tank with the 5.0. a v8 is good for n/a power. even the 95 cobra runs 14.0 only thing changed from the 95gt is better heads/intake it has 240hp/285tq. my m90 costed 2000 installed :D

@natev6 And the V6s in the 80s had even less HP. People say get a V8 because V6 is NOT muscle. They may have good HP, but you just can't call it a muscle car. V6s also weren't built as well as the V8s. They weren't built to withstand the HP of a V8 so V8s are more powerful in their time and they are more durable which means they are better for pushing the throttle. V6s in these cars are fine for everything but racing. That why the GTs didn't have V6s in these years.

@ACEGAMER120 That was 3 years ago since I posted. The new ford 3.7L V6 is now mkaing 300hp and getting 30+mpg. While yes a V8 makes better power on motor with OEM tech, ANY motor with money into it can go fast. Like I said, it's cubic dollars. A 4 banger civic can 10s ON MOTOR! Of course it has 30 grand just in the shortblock. it's not always about hp, it's how well the combo works. A 400hp V8 can lose to a 350hp V6. I'm not just talking about torque values either. Todays V6s are very potent.

It has 3.73 gears. I doubt a crown vic can do that. When I got the HP tested at my friend's shop, it put out 207hp @ 4800rpm. Thats only with the dual exhaust, intake, ported headers, and a proper tune. As memory serves me, the 95 v6 had 145hp stock.

But at the end of the day it's a V6 mustang . The only V6 Mustangs that are worth anything are the Shelby Terlingua (375 HP) and the latest 2011 V6 Mustang (300HP).

@kpj200 Lol, i love haters of V6. I also love V6 because they put out better torque numbers than v8's, are alot lighter, and you can build v6's to be really powerful for very cheap.
I know of a guy running 9's in the 1/4 mile in a v6 stang with 638rwhp and 648rwtq relatively cheap. Also, if you take a 3.8 supercoupe out of a t-bird the engine will outlast pretty much any v8 you build. Its 1 of 2 motors ford build that passed the 24 hour stress test.
