Barack Obama's Speech after winning the Iowa Caucuses Thirsday night. He said we are choosing hope over fear and send a message to the whole world that change has come to America. The USA is owned by the people and not by the Lobbyists who thing their money is can buy America. So what is America and Obama saying right this day in this October dark night?
It really scarres me to think that this nation would elect another of the same four years. We have a huge opprotunity for change RIGHT IN FRONT OF US, I don't even want to imagine what this nation would be like with another president like Bush.
The worst of America which include the racists, paranoid, Bush supporters will be out in numbers to vote for McCain and 'LOL PALIN LOL'. The Bush/McCain Economy has failed.
It is up to you to turn this nation around. WE NEED CHANGE. We need Obama to lead Americans and LEAD THE WORLD. The World needs our leadership, Obama is well liked in the world and are looking toward us.
Obama is invincible. He is the great one! He shall OBLITERATE McCain! He shall lead this great nation to the promised land that Martin Luther King for told. He shall not just fix the economy but excelerate it. He shall teach our kids where france is on a map. He shall eliminate all downtown traffic.
"We have got the gravest financial crisis since 1929 and the most unpopular president since the advent of polling. George W. Bush has put the United States on the side of undemocratic Iraqis who are Iran's allies. John McCain would continue the same approach. It is hard to understand how this can be called a success—or a path to victory", - Peter Galbraith, US Iraq expert
These are seriously exciting times...Obama's speeches always manage to give me goosebumps, because they derive from his heart and honest beliefs. WE LOVE YOU OBAMA!!!
John Mccain has also been hypocritical in all his statements. He told everyone that gay marriage was okay if there was a ceremony. Exactly 11 minutes later, he claimed gay marriage was wrong. He told us Iraq would be easy, then in January '07 claimed that all of us knew it'd be hard.He says obama will increase taxes on us, but it's only on the higher class, Mccain's class. The middle class will pay less. The republicans are more concerned with war and abortion then what we need. Vote OBAMA
My state, Maryland, voted against George Bush everytime. We will do the same for McCain. Maryland, please vote Obama 2008 along with the rest of the D.C Area!! President Obama!

What do you mean by that? I believe socialized medicine works very well. People don't go bankrupt because they can't pay for their meds or are scared to take themselves or their kids to the doctor, because they know they can't pay for it.
I'm not voting for him or mccain. No matter how you slice it neither one will represent this country or its people the way they should. they both serve special interest.

It's strange: I don't listen to speeches of German politicians, but I listen to Obama. 200.000 in Berlin today, what more can you say. Dear Americans: Please make the right decision in november!!
I`m think that Barack Obama is a man of HOPE,not only for American people that for the people all over the world.I`m a Serb that live in Germany and I`m so happy that one man, like Mr.Obama, give in a politic today, especially in the USA.The American citizens can be again proud of there president. He is able to change the world and more...YES HE CAN!!!Please, vote Mr.Obama for the next president of the USA and MAKE THE DREAM COME TRUE...MAKE SOMTHING OF THOSE ELECTION FOR A GOODNESS OF ALL OF AS!!!
One thing we say: never trust politicians completely. Politicians can bring us higher, but they can ruin us too. Politicians can care about a nation, but they may also not care. Politicians promise all, but just a few of them make the dreams of a nation come true
Yes and no, Martin Luther King didn't openly want to be president, that wasn't his calling. Sadly, we can never know what that was. All I know, is that Barack Obama Will Do GREAT things for America.
ok do u know martin luther king um no i doubt u knew him. do u personally know obama hey i doubt that too! u have no idea what these guys will actually do that's politics but all i do know is Obama could easily ruin us.
Obama is a visionary, a pioneer, and will be the greatest president in the history of the US.. I dont understand how you can be so negative about him after listening to his amazingly inspiring speeches
if america did not perish under george W Bush, if George w Bush did not ruin America, even a dog can succeed as an American president leave alone a genius per exellence like Ombama!
ruin us... if you haven't realized we are already ruined we mite as well belong to china now our country is trillions in debt and this man is the change we are looking for political parties is whats going to divide this country and i personally feel this man is the chance to unite us
My mom and dad went to college with Barack Obama at Occidental in LA. They were close friends, and my dad went running with him every morning. They've worked on the campaign, and recently had a private dinner with him. They met him at the most confused point in his life, yet they still firmly believe in his faith in America, his humility and willingness to listen, and ultimately his ability to bring about a true positive change in the way our country works. That's what I know.
you are lucky to be part of that. He is really awesome. my children will have a brighter future when he becomes our president. i am proud to say i am part of the grassroots campaign. God bless us
I was going to vote for Obama because I strongly believe in the separation of church and state, but Obama announced that he is going to EXPAND George Bush's FAITH BASED INNITIATIVE!!!!!!!!!
No way I want MORE of my tax money being used to promote religion when it is expressly forbidden by our constitution.
And I've heard the "he's just saying that to win the election" explanation. Wouldn't that make him the exact type of politician he promises not to be? Change, my ASS!!
He is NOT just another politician. A 24 year old Barack Obama passed over lucrative job offers (6,7 digit fiqures) to work as a community organizer to help the poor and downtrodden who had lost their jobs when steel plants were closed down in Chicago, 20 yrs. ago. It's a characteristic inherited/learned, perhaps, from his Mother who spent most of her live helping the disadvantaged and voiceless. This man REALLY cares about changing America to benefit ALL of its citizens. Pray he wins.
Oh my God. Make the eyes of people be opened to the fact that this is another gift from you to mankind. Let people of America know that you will not always strive with them. Their cries have come up to your throne and you have sent a help in the person of Barack Obama to the nation of United States and the world at large. Answer by prayer Oh Lord so I will be able to sleep peacefully in your bosom with the assurance that the future of my sons and daughters will be good.
So if you do support Barack Obama for president but also strongly disagree with him on the telcom immunity issue, (he caved to the telcoms getting away with illegal wiretaps) go to my-dot-barackobama-dot-com sign up, and add your name to the group called: "Senator Obama - Please Vote NO on Telecom Immunity - Get FISA Right"
It is currently the 4th or 5th largest group on his personal social network, make it #1 and see if he really pays attention to any of the people who got him the nomination.
wollysworldtv, he was soo happy and proud all he can say is thank you that would go for all of us, if we were in his position i bet all u can say is thank you!
The Daily Show with John Stewart just showed a clip of Obama and Bush both answering a question on what to do about the high price
with the exact same answer. Now, I thought you guys said that Bush was dumb as a brick and Obama was for change????Sounds like he's changing into Bush!!!
"They said this day would never come!" Yes it did responded that passionate lady in the background she is right and there is no looking back.Obama live!
yeah all they said this day will never come... the first true word he said in his campaine!! a man who will change this country to a better way..(this is the moment)
To answer your question we believe that this man seeks the best interest of this country. If a republican couldd have carry the same passion as he did I would have voted for then. I'm a black women & this is not about black or white as i was a Hilary voted. But OBAMA stole my heart. You have not accomplished anything by written this American's have learn the Hard way & we believe our instints & research.
Obama doesn't represent change because of his position on the environment - a position that McCain recently switched to. He represents change because took no money from lobbyists or PACs, because he wants to bring an end to the Iraq War, because he's not interested in fear politics where you try and scare Americans, because he wants to inspire the country to become energy independent, and because he wants the world to respect us again.
me - old white Rebublican voting for Obama - I have grandchildren, I care about what state this country will be in when they grow up - Go Obama - you are my grandchildren's hope.
Why is he begginning with"They said this day would never come"? Who said? And why is he ending with memories of segragation protests? Im 29 and have never seen segragation, only intagration?? Im 2nd generation American. And am smart enough to know that 200 yr old grudges do not help. To end segragation/Racism you must not instill the old thoughts in the minds of young children.
Obama owns a house in Chicago that is worth over 2 million dollars, he flies a private jet, he went Harvard, he drives around a fleet of SUV's while simultaneously preaching lower carbon emissions. He is such a hypocrite it is not even funny to watch and you think he really cares about the common man? I'm not saying any politician is better but when people go around praising him as this great agent of change it is ridiculous. Is he really different from any politician?
so you prefer bush who is obviously from a very wealthy family, had every chance possible and screwed em all up and just doesnt talk about helping poor or average people?
Have you read Dreams of My Father? Obama went to Harvard on Scholarship. After graduating from Harvard Law (and being elected Prsident of the Harvard Law Review) he could have had any job in the country, but he chose to use his law degree to help people. His nice house comes from the publicationof his books. Itis not where you are but remembering where you come from that is important. He has lived the life he preaches.
How can this be so difficult to understand? The real Latin Americans want in our relations with the United States, as follows: Relations with the United States must be based on respect and equality, especially in non-interference in the internal affairs of our countries. Is it so difficult to understand this?
I see him as such an empty suit that espouses pretty words, read from a teleprompter, and no substance. Please, if anyone wishes to comment on my words would you please be intellectual and not use invectives or emotion in your analysis. Civility goes a long way!
What a phony! He worked across the political aisle when his party was the majority party and he tried to get the othe rside to vote his way. That is not the definition of bipartisanship. It's compromise, i.e., when you both agree but neither gets all that they want. Obama has never done this, yet. I wish the commentators on this forum would have "cooler heads" and be more objective and less emotional in their thinking.
Jesus Christ is Love. May He bless all of you, Black, Hispanic, Jewish, Muslim, White, Republicans, Democrats and All Countries people. May He bring us all together in PEACE. God Bless MLK and OBAMA.

a bill in 1999 that would let some juveniles be tried as adults, a position that risked drawing fire from African-Americans, or to oppose it, possibly undermining his image as a tough-on-crime moderate.Obama chose neither to vote for nor against the bill. He voted "present," effectively sidestepping the issue, an option he invoked nearly 130 times as a state senator. This is the man who is going to fight the war on terror? God saves us!!!
He is the best america ever had!

I`m think that Barack Obama is a man of HOPE,not only for American people that for the people all over the world.I`m a Serb that live in Germany and I`m so happy that one man, like Mr.Obama, give in a politic today, especially in the USA.The American citizens can be again proud of there president. He is able to change the world and more...YES HE CAN!!!Please, vote Mr.Obama for the next president of the USA and MAKE THE DREAM COME TRUE...MAKE SOMTHING OF THOSE ELECTION FOR A GOODNESS OF ALL OF AS!!!
pavijangp 3 years ago 5
One thing we say: never trust politicians completely. Politicians can bring us higher, but they can ruin us too. Politicians can care about a nation, but they may also not care. Politicians promise all, but just a few of them make the dreams of a nation come true

Yes and no, Martin Luther King didn't openly want to be president, that wasn't his calling. Sadly, we can never know what that was. All I know, is that Barack Obama Will Do GREAT things for America.

MilkMan2828 3 years ago
Yes. But why don't you spend about 3 minutes researching, and find out for yourself.

Didn't you hear him? Hope and Change!! I would explain how he's going to get those for you, but, well... he hasn't done that yet either.

He has and more importantly, leadership and care, something long overdue in this country. Obama for pres. and for the world!

Change, my ASS!!

what ever they say...Obama is our next president.

To answer your question we believe that this man seeks the best interest of this country. If a republican couldd have carry the same passion as he did I would have voted for then. I'm a black women & this is not about black or white as i was a Hilary voted. But OBAMA stole my heart. You have not accomplished anything by written this American's have learn the Hard way & we believe our instints & research.
jtarpeh1978 3 years ago 4
Obama doesn't represent change because of his position on the environment - a position that McCain recently switched to. He represents change because took no money from lobbyists or PACs, because he wants to bring an end to the Iraq War, because he's not interested in fear politics where you try and scare Americans, because he wants to inspire the country to become energy independent, and because he wants the world to respect us again.

Is he really different from any politician?
sthomas3428 3 years ago
McCain owns 7 homes. Obama earned his way into Harvard, unlike Dubya.

Civility goes a long way!
lukumi007 3 years ago
What a phony! He worked across the political aisle when his party was the majority party and he tried to get the othe rside to vote his way. That is not the definition of bipartisanship. It's compromise, i.e., when you both agree but neither gets all that they want. Obama has never done this, yet. I wish the commentators on this forum would have "cooler heads" and be more objective and less emotional in their thinking.

a bill in 1999 that would let some juveniles be tried as adults, a position that risked drawing fire from African-Americans, or to oppose it, possibly undermining his image as a tough-on-crime moderate.Obama chose neither to vote for nor against the bill. He voted "present," effectively sidestepping the issue, an option he invoked nearly 130 times as a state senator. This is the man who is going to fight the war on terror? God saves us!!!
