  • You can see he was awkward when asked to translate. He deliberately avoided it LOL

  • Now I wish, in the UK, they would stop doing French and teach Gaeilge because, it would actually benefit people more, the Irish kids in school need to learn such a language..

  • An bhfuil cad agam dul go duit an leithreas?

That is "Can I go to the toilet?" in Irish. What he said was "Can I go out?"

Other than that, very entertaining. Us irish, we know how to keep an audience RIVETED, hanging on to our every word, no matter how mangled it may sound ^^

  • that guy should get back to work

  • My daddy is simply the coolest :-) (see above video)

  • @israeliteknight "they threaten the purity of the Irish race". So did Jews, according to Hitler. Are you pro-genocide? And you're one to talk about racial "impurity". You're American, which is basically a melting pot of different races. America would be nothing if it wasn't for this "mud" that you refer to Polish people as. You're a bigot, a prick, and a complete waste of space. It's people like you that give you Yanks a bad name. Dickhead, mixed race is something to be proud of.

  • His irish is shit, the kind of stuff you learn when you're four years old. He's mostly speaking English with a Dublin accent!

  • How is this Gaelic at all ??.....its just a fella witha dublin accent

  • the guy cleary says Morphy--what the fuck?:

  • They should make Irish a subject in schools that is compulsory in Ireland.

  • @AddictofFilm it already is compulsory - I was taught it for 14 years, but it was never properly explained, nor was there a passion instilled in me to learn it at the time, so, like most Irish people, I've lost the most of what I learned...

On a side note, I know this security guard - he's a nice guy... can't say that about others though!

  • @AddictofFilm

it is compulsary, but its not taught like a foreign language, so its impossible to learn fluently unless you live in an Irish speaking area ie. the west of Ireland.

  • wow. i pity your children. why do you fuckers procrate? stop harrassing irish cops. my advice, you and your chuckle head wife, kandahar. ask the same stupid ass questions there. "hahahaha, how do you say that in afghani? hey! hey! HEY!..where's my wife? were's my tour bus? where's the blarney stone? (oh! right...in saudi arabia). yes, i want to make you feel stupid, because you (husband) are. stop being idiots and learn a fucking language.

  • Is this a Garda? I think it's just a security man

  • These tourists seem annoying.

  • Why can't american police be this nice? Goddamn

  • LMAO I was thinking the same thing.

  • @cualcoatl That's just a security person. The police are pricks

  • @cualcoatl Because Ireland isn't full of arseholes like america is.

  • @cualcoatl He's not police, he's a security guard in Trinity College! Nice uniforms, in fairness.

  • haha I love the description of this video lol

  • if any one of u guys is thinking about learning abit of the language i wouldnt bother there is at leased 7 tenses instead of the english 4 and the verbs change majorly with every tense

  • Way to discourage people. If you want to learn the language, it won't be about how difficult it is, it'll be about the fact they want to know it lol.

  • @cyberkitten2012 the verbs change slightly and predictably ineach tense except for the 11 irregulars

  • WRONG.

You obviousely know ZERO about the Irish language.

I should know, I speak it.

The verbs do not chang "majorly" and it is easy to learn once you know the easy rules of pronunciation.

  • you think i dont speak it :P alot of verbs change majorly but speaking it is different to writing it but thats just my oppinion

  • @ruairiflanagan

people learn Chinese, Navajo and Inuktitut, Indonesian, Lakota. These languages are extremely difficult for most English speakers, yet people still learn them. Why bother saying that aboot Irish? It's only hard if you have no ambition to learn it

  • but the languages that you are talking about are actually usefull as more then 20000 people speak them . and the fact that irish is not taught properly makes the matter worse trust me on this one iv been learning the language since i started school thats 15 years now and if i could speak it i would be happy i know a fair amount of it but yet again its not taught right like the other languages i have been learning french for 5 years and i can speak more french then irish. which just says it all

  • how do u say B U T T H E A D in irish

  • how do u say nimrod in irish

  • knob jockey

  • pleb

  • what a spanner?????

  • an idiot

    :)

  • i'm sorry... Muds?

  • Oh God, I love you for saying that. That's how I feel in a nutshell

    dia duit?

  • You'll be getting much nicer sliced loaves, thanks to the Poles, if only you could put your racism aside. Polish bread is the way to go, if you can't get to a proper bakery.

  • could you please try & keep your ignorant bigotry to your own country, Kthnx

  • @israeliteknight ireland needs to protect itself from racism. Irish people have suffered from that themselves for long enough and dont need it in their country.

  • @israeliteknight many Poles are of Scottish ancestry from the same period when Ulster was being planted as trade links with the baltic city of Danzig (modern Gdansk) and religious freedom encouraged emigration. Seeing as their dna would be very similair to Irish people, its not much of a genetic change for Poles to be in Ireland today. If anything, Poles in England makes it more Irish/Scottish!

  • @israeliteknight

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Are you fucking serious?

You know who else are muds? The Irish!

Do you know what we were called 100 years ago? Micks, paddies, Celtic monkies, or my personal favorite, white negroes. The English still think we are inferior.

  • @israeliteknight Ireland needs to protect itself form fascists like you!!! The Polish for the most part are every bit as white as the Irish(not like that matters). They are economic migrants, only doing the same thing us Irish did for centuries! Why do you thing overt 80 million people worldwide claim Irish heritage while the Island of Ireland has only 6 million people. Racism is disgusting!!!

  • @israeliteknight You fail.

  • @israeliteknight

you're parents raised you well, asshole

  • @MidGroundInertia = Adolf McHitler

  • @redpaul79 Muds mean hitler?? what??

  • @MidGroundInertia shut up, idiot

  • @redpaul79 dude, i have no idea what you're talking about so just tell me. i just didn't understand what a mud was.

  • @MidGroundInertia I wasn't ther one taking about "Muds" (whatever the FUCK that is)--you're a stupid, dumb fucking moron

  • @redpaul79 then what ARE you talking about -- I posted on this video over a year ago, and I have no idea what you are talking about. I also like how I am the stupid, dumb fucking moron, when your first sentence barely makes sense. Another point: an Idiot is better than a jackass, jackass.

  • @MidGroundInertia I'm callin you ADOL MCHITLER, shit for brains--now fuck off and get the MUD out of you ears, dick eat

  • @redpaul79 And I'm asking you why you're calling me Hitler. I obviously did SOMETHING to offend you, and I'm trying to make right on that. And the insult you're looking for is Cock bite. dick eat makes no sense.

  • @MidGroundInertia cause you're a goddamned racialist, dick eat

  • @redpaul79 alright, what brought you to this conclusion. i'm trying to be civil about this here, and i am all for civil rights; i just want to know what i said. i would at least like some mutual understanding here... and again I last posted on this a year ago, and i have changed a ton since then.

  • @MidGroundInertia I am the reincarnated ghost of Michael Jackson

  • @redpaul79 no you're not. no be serious. please.

  • @redpaul79 good, shut the fuck up troll.

  • @MidGroundInertia go fuck yourself, MUD

  • @redpaul79 alright then, you ultimately lose the battle. i don't care what you think about me if you don't tell me your reasoning. not to be a dick, but i'm glad you have a lot of friends on youtube. you obviously don't have the social skills to meet anyone face to face and become their friend. so go ahead lay it on me troll, because no matter what, i am better than you. If people have a problem with me, i try to change for their benefit. I don't know why i'm racist, but at least i'm not you.

  • tedious.....

  • boring.....

  • @MidGroundInertia, you DULL me.......

  • @redpaul79 i am not going to dignify you with an answer anymore. i'm done trying to be civil and reasonable. good day sir, i hope your life is good.

  • @MidGroundInertia so you finally got a life?

  • @redpaul79 shut up

  • @israeliteknight Youre great Christian nation was largely built on the back of ethnic genocide and slavery.

  • @israeliteknight If you are refering to the United States as a Christian nation, you are very wrong. The United States is based on freedom of religion. If you want to call this a "Christian" nation, then the American Muslims should be allowed to call it, a Muslim nation. In fact, muslims are more devoute to God than Christians, but it's not about religion. :) It's about your biggotry and the wall of ignorance in which you are so hopelessly enclosed. Farewell. :).

  • dick head

  • Yes we can be duirling, God love us! And may God love all you thick islanders as well.

  • i would love to go to ireland, especially since my family originated from there. i think it's really sad how much of the culture has been lost since some families came to america b/c although i would love to learn gaelic, i probably never will.

  • It's not so bad, don't fixate on 'losing the culture'. As an Irish immigrant you have your own culture too. Don't forget that culture in Ireland has changed too, we don't all go round with a feadóg in our back pocket anymore (admittedly some do!!). And Irish isn't that hard to learn, you could definitely give it a shot. There are only 11 irregular verbs!! Bonus!!

  • americans are thick god love them!!!

  • Yeah!!!

  • Isn't it funny 12 years of schooling they can only manage can I go to the loo? LOLOL

  • Ireland is restoring Gaelic as their national language.

It's the ORIGINAL language, preceding "hebrew" by millennia.

  • lol what? gaelic is a celtic language, which is part of the indo-european family, it arrived about 3000 years ago from the iberian peninsula

  • That's quite a statement. Can you provide sources?

  • That's definitely one idea. Wikipedia is a good place to start. The other theory is Austria. There are a lot of Celtic museums in Austria.

  • "They"? Cén saghas daoine atá tú ag caint faoi? Na daoine as Baile Átha Cliath?? Ach tá sé greannmhar ar fad na daoine ar fud na tíre.. foghlainn siad an Gaeilge ar feadh 12 nó 13 bliain agus nuair a dfhág siad scoil tar eís an Ardteist níl siad abálta na gnáth rudaí as Gaeilge a caint.. Gaeilge Ábu!

  • @teachill Is teanga inusáideacha í an Ghaeilge

  • Many of my teachers were Irish

The Irish are one of the nicest people you can meet

and their country is one of the most beautiful places on Earth

  • lol

  • gnarly
