Pentax K20D and K200D digital SLR: PMA Show Report

This Pentax rep is useless... I think Nigel knows more about the spec of these cameras, he has to prompt him on most of the key features e.g. the weather sealing and raw-button of the K200D

would you recommend this dslr for someone coming from those old 60's analog slrs? i'd be using it for semi-pro use. obviously being my first DIGITAL slr i'd need an easy to use interface and settings but because it'll be used for semi-pro i'll need to customise it to my specific needs once i learn the tricks of the trade

It's a shame PENTAX doesn't advertise as much as they should here in the U.S. There is a lot of people who just have to comment on things even though they know nothing of what their commenting on. If anyhting other MFG's should produce more lenses for pentax, like Sigma for one.

sastank obviously doesnt know much about pentax...pentax is a major in SLR cameras...Pentax has made millions of K mount lenses which is actually some of the best glass out there so why should they have to make lenses for canon and nikon? canon and nikon arent the only camera companies out there. They're are just really good at marketing pretty much. im not rippin on canon or nikon they make great cameras and great lenses but people always rip on pentax as if they're just wannabe slr manufacture

canon and nikon both have IS on lens, this does not fit well with Body IS used with Pentax, which i , more and more agree it's the way to go. Really, 3 weeks ago, i had never heard of pentax...ever. I wasn't into fotography, but then i have viewing and reviewing lots and lots of models...ultimately leading me to Canon 450D that rapidly lost my attention when i saw photo samples.Thank u Pentax.Really great K20D

the cameras look good but im not interested in buying new lenses--alot of photographers would try other dslr's if they had a common mount---do it and youll sell more pentax

The pentax K-Mount is a common Lens Mount! This mount even allows to produce cheaper lenses as the AF Motor is built into the camera. This camera also supports the usage of old MF lenses.

Lenses from these times won't work on a Canona SLR!

will it work with my canon ef mount lenses ?----if pentax wants us to buy there dslr's, itll need to fit canon and nikon lenses
