this is just a steady cam. In the first scene, he walks in range of the cam pretending to look at himself. Then he records himself 'falling' on a green screen and places that on top of the scene.

what you do well i wil think is best is to put your track in untill you wish to stop it like he did. Then take a photo from the clip and dublicate the photo and cut the top layer of what you want to be out in front then play your vid behinde the cut out but in front of the back round and you should get what he has. make shore the camera doesnt move or you wont get the effect. and as you can see he has been a bit lazy with the cut out look at the pics arm when he goes behinde.

Its rather easy really, jsut leave a camera in the same place and get 2 different films. Part way through the first film take a screenshot and replace the reset of that film with it. Mask out the screen shot to only show the person. put that mask over the second clip and voala frozen person. gets a little more complex if you want interaction though. Hope that helped
