all Canadians pay taxes YET not all Canadians get UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE;
example; once you are injured on the job, you don't qualify for universal health care, and are stuck in the workers compensation system which are CORRUPT and get paid bonuses to deny claims. so basically your screwed... no health care,,diagnostic tests..operations 4 you...UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IS CANADA'S BIGGEST LIE;
Universal Health care is a LIE; Many Canadians are oblivious to the corruption that exists in Canada; My mother DIED waiting for treatment in Canada; When you are in need of health care in Canada, you will be forced to wait and wait and wait;
So what a few people have received treatment and are still alive, what about all the others who have DIED waiting for diagnose and treatment; I was just refused an appointment with a specialist in Calgary, NO EXPLANATION whatsoever;
@FIXWCBCANADA So sorry about your mother! But sad truth: is exponentially greater percentage of people die in the US because they don't have access to health care, than the few who die in Canada because they were not adequately prioritized. I randomly asked 300 Canadians - no horror stories reported. Everyone I know over the age of 25 or so, (and every random stranger I've ever questioned in the US) has one. Your case is rare: sorry. I also get no explanation when insurance denies me.
I'm Canadian, and I'm between doctors. If you have a doctor here, you can get good care. I you don't have a doctor you're screwed, and the walk in clinics give nothing for pain, nerves or sleep. They basicly ask you whats wrong and just tread that.
@TheAustrian08 "Other people forced to pay..." Every single person in this video is employed, most in quite profitable professions. They pay taxes, and they pay a monthly premium to their government. I'm assuming you have health insurance? You pay a monthly premium so that if you get hit with a chronic illness or need major emergency treatment, the collective members of that insurance will pay for your treatment. What's the difference?
The difference is those people willingly entered into a contract knowing the terms and stakes of such an agreement. No one asks a Canadian citizen if they would like government insurance or private, they pay for the government insurance whether they want it or not. Thought that point was painfully obvious...
@TheAustrian08 We all pay for Canadian health care through our taxes, just like fire and police services. No one is getting a free ride. Everyone is going to get sick one time in their lives and the care is there when they do. We take care of our own.
Crowder isn' t claiming to be scientific. Although my nearest hospitals suck. But you' re methodology isn't any more legit than his. You could edit out the naysayers. Secondly, you would have to go to multiple cities and regions to get a more accurate representation. One doesn' t go to Detroit, note the high percentage of African-Americans, and then conclude this represents the entire US. You'd obviously be ignoring Hispanics, Arabs, etc.
Silly Tilbily! People move, ya know! Ones hometown is not necessarily current city of residence. And though I also do not claim to be scientific by any means (wish I had the time & financial backing, though - as Crowder does!) you are off your rocker to think my isn't a significantly closer representation of the opinion of the general public than Crowder's vid!!
1)We can' t prove you' re living out west.2)Crowder just waltzed into a hospital with a camera and recorded.3)My points about stats are consistent with what' s taught in universities4)I've seen your views posted on other vids and conclude you' re a radical activist with an agenda.
Oh BTW nice scenery. Meant to look/sound like one big socialist heaven with nobody ever having to work? lol Just cradled by big gov' t??
I' ve been to Ohio recently. I've lived in Alberta and travelled to B.C. So....you' re poor but travelled thousands of kilometers to B.C. to film 300 people. It begs the question why you didn' t save your money and travel up to Ontario?? I guess nobody wants to first go through that Democrat-Katrina-Hellhole-Wreck they call Detroit, just to get to Windsor, Ontario??
I live in Portland, Oregon. I took an Amtrak train straight North about 200 miles to Vancouver - quickest and cheapest route possible. Does beg the question, however, how come the two LA film makers that only interviewed 3-4 people in Ontario, went such a great distance instead of to the closest Canadian city, Vancouver?
Sorry ' bout your luck, sweetcheeks. But numbers are numbers. Even 2-3K with a 2-3% error margin is sloppy if you know how numbers really work.
Now wouldn' t it make a whole lot more sense to hold a, let' s say, NATIONAL REFERENDUM.
Naw, we can' t let the taxpayers decide what politicians should do with the money they steal from us, can we??? That might cancel your need to come and do a poll as well.
Oh, I'm very proud to be conservative. Thanks for the acknowledgement! Are you wrong-wing?
@Tilbily You do realize she's doing this all on her own, right? I think that she went out of her way to view 50, much less 300 people, for interviews shows commitment.
If a national referendum were called, a majority of Canadians would vote to keep the system the way it is. Also, considering we're a democracy, and that the Canada Health Act was passed by elected officials , shows that the system works.
Oh, and you can be a conservative, and still support public healthcare.
300? What a JOKE! Anyone with higher education in the humanities KNOWS from their studies that even a sample of 3000-4000 with a 2-3% margin of error is way to small of a sample. You've only proven one thing: you have a leftist political bent and take everyone for stupid.
You realize that it is a far greater sample than any other video you can find on Canadian health care - several hundred times larger, in fact. Unfortunately, I am only me & I am poor and do not have the resources for more intensive research. I would love if any of the obviously right-wing film makers (like PJ) would take his funding & extend his sample of interviewees beyond 3 folks! And my video is the only one with RANDOM interviews - theirs involved folks they already knew & their stories.
Confirming that Universal healtcare has worked well in Denmark since the 50s
Any politician attacking it would commit political suicide..
Its not perfect and we complain alot... but still =)

Wait times are an issue. No one is saying that the Canadian system is perfect. But immediate care means nothing when you have no access to it.

A bunch of people like having other people forced to pay for their health care. Didn't need a 10 minute video for that.....

@TheAustrian08
Considering this is a democracy, the people have elected officials who wrote the laws concerning healthcare.
When +80% of Canadians hate their healthcare, they will elect officials to bring their province out of the system.
Thought that point would be painfully obvious...
