I like the guitar riff, too. Whenever I hear it, the rhythm always repeats in my head. It may get stuck in there, but you have to admit it's very catchy.
Oh, my God. I remember this show, and I decided to watch it with my mom and we both laughed and remebered back when kid's shows were fun and educational.
oh shit oil rigs can MOVE!? its bad enough how scary they are in real life because of their abnormal size and the fact that they go to the bottom of the water but moving? thats some scary shit right there.
i dont know why but anything big underwater is scary. dont know why.
i remember watching this on casset when i was 4. if not for the little toy theodore i have right here with the name of the show on it i would never see this again. thank you so much for uploading!
@startug that explaines it! I was woundering. Um btw did you know there was an episode called Emily and the tug of war on youtube but now its gone. :(
Tugs and Theodore Tugboat are THE SAME SHOW!!! Just a different name. As someone who moved to Halifax recently it amazes me how good a job they did building the model of the Harbour. I live 3 blocks from the red and white smoke stacks. Very nostalgic!
I love the music in this! My dad knows all about music and frequencies and what not, so I'll try to upload and instrumental. Good thing some of the narration is pretty quiet.
I remember watching this before school back when I was a kid, although I could never finish an EP because I would be late for school then :(. Great show!!
@startug Actually, many episodes of Theodore were directed by Robert Cardona, the creator of Thomas and TUGS. And Theodore does employ many of the same storytelling techniques including similar storylines, characters and a 1960s-era celebrity as the narrator. Sooo....
@startug AND U people like u annoy the shit outta me just because u dont like thomas or tugs dosent mean people that like thomas or tugs dont like this show too SO SHUT UP
this show never gets old and to tell ya the truth i started loving tug boats when i first saw this show. my uncle ted owns a tug boat service and its called pacific tug boat service and he let me ride on one and it was awsome i know some ppl are ganna say liar but its true i wouldnt tell u if it was true
I always liked this show when I was younger, I have episodes on VHS too... Later I learned the "harbour master" was actually Denny Doherty, one of the old members of The Mammas and the Pappas... Really kind of cool, and an interesting show...
I just E-mailed PBS kids and asked why they don't show Theodore Tugboat any more. I hope they E-mail back. I suggest that all of you E-mail PBS and ask about Theodore. Just go to the website, click help and click E-mail.

They do smoke but only when they're like puffing really hard. Check out "Foduck the Vigilant" or "Big Harbour Fools Day" (which aren't on here yet) George smokes quite a lot.
I like the guitar riff, too. Whenever I hear it, the rhythm always repeats in my head. It may get stuck in there, but you have to admit it's very catchy.
