@simionTheOne You should know that the developper of this game are rather new in game making which means they don't use a heavy big ass engine. And those of you who just complain against a game for its badly animation and graphic should never write a comment here nowadays. The game itself is really entertaining - try the game before you post stupid comments or just leave the playing to whose who actually like it with horrible animation.

DO READ: anyone know a way to rename you're party unit names? ect. Swadian Infantry renamed to custom name of choice? Becase it isn't able to rename units in-game. So I wonder if there is any file script that can be changed with, to rename units in (my) actual party - not renaming the specific unit affecting everyone but only in my partysquad. Anyone know if there's a mod or method to change these settings then i like to know???? :)

God how I love Warband. Only game in the world, where fights dont depend on levels, a newbie just randomly clicking cant win a veteran player and you can completely create your own fighting style. Even wearing heavy armor, doesnt help that much. You can get easly owned by a guy wearing a T-shirt, even if you are more armored than a bloody tank. Now THIS is what all games should be like: winning with pure skill(sometimes with ping too xD) Its not just click to hit kids, THIS is a MANS GAME!

To do that attack, you must have a polearm and a horse.

Steps:

1. Ride your horse straight. The speed also needs to be fast to do extra damage.

2. Do not left/right click.

3.Your character will get into a couched lance stance, you can see when he/she puts the lance under his/her armpit.

4. Go into contact with any enemy.

5. Pwnage. (Does more than 200 damage so it = insta-kill)

Multiplayer is a bitch though, You will find yourself getting pissed at archers (useless) and people with mounts allot.. It will make you wish the game was called "Blade"

There is an excelent glitch in Native expansion,for it to work you must have fiefs,vassals and a claimant in your party then get in and get out of a town and then talk to claimant tell him to chose lords for fiefs after you chose fief for a lord go to the world map that town you just was in will be yours(it works with villages and training grounds too and im not sure if it works for feople or other mods like native).

@deadsilent28 Yes it is possible. Every town on the map can become yours if you're skilled enough to take it. You can be a merchant, a mercenary, a slaver [capture and sell people into slavery], become a noble, rebel against kings. Or if you will, become a king or queen your self. You can do one or all of these things if you want. It is completely up to you and well worth buying.

The best thing about mount and blade, is that it is a REALISTIC game. It doesn't have any magic, wizards and other crap like that, pretty much like ALL medieval games have. I'm sad this game is underrated and unpopular because this is such a great game.

you have your big army like other strategy games + you fight like a hero! and good story and quests.

There are some mods with over 20 factions, but they're littered with bugs.

@sunnyjim98 Nope. You can just train them up so they'll advance to the next rank of whatever unit they are.

Eventually, they'll start to look impressive (Swadian Knights, for example)

The point of such games is not to make them MMORPG's. It is the same thing about those people who say that The Elder Scrolls-series should be made into a MMORPG. But the whole point and art of making such games is to create a world that feels alive even when it is just AI-controlled.

But making an MMO wouldn't take away from the series. There are a lot of people who like to interact with others, and enjoy the kind of community it creates. Then make a mod for it. What I don't understand is why every singleplayer games has to become multiplayer games because people has some sense that a multiplayer game feels more epic. It does not! The whole point of making these singleplayer games with a big world to explore is in todays gaming industry almost an art. People has said the same about the Elder Scrolls-series: "This should be a MMORPG!". But these people just don't understand why these games are great.

@DarthMessias I think it's linked to most of our experiences first playing WoW, at least mine certainly. There's such a sense of scale and scope to things, but what people don't realise is that you have to know virtually nothing about the world to get immersed in an MMORPG.

Perhaps that is why MMORPGs has become so mainstream. Nobody cares about story or the art/skill of creating an artificial world that seems real. Instead they choose the easy path. I have never been attracted to MMORPGs but I have played a few just to see what the fuss is all about. And to me it just seems like cheap cheeseburgers that just quell your appetite.

Should Mount and Blade become an MMORPG? No. Why not? There are no reason to do it.

I think MusicDude is either a noob or trolling hard. The combat in this game has a lot of depth to it but can be frustrating to learn because it's not very transparent why you're getting your ass owned so much at first. Once you understand the basics and the general concepts everything else comes together very easily and it's a real blast to play.

MusicDude10234 if you need someone to help you learn how to fight then I have no problems helping. This combat system is among the best of them.
