Rock Island was at 5100 Main Street. Started as Paradise Island (because the existing neon sign had a flamingo on it). It was a Mexican strip club before that. It changed to Rock Island and then simply "The Island". It was the only 100% punk club in Houston . All punk, all the time.
Does anybody else remember Phil's infamous hot dog parties? If you ate any hot dogs you probably didn't live to the 21st century.
