  • @DiabIe37 I know, I didn't listen to mac's song with attention, I thougth he took the beat like he did with kool aid. It's cool he sampled it, he got good hip hop roots, but I still think he is a corny rapper.

DJ Cool Hertz was credited with ORIGINATING HIP HOP MUSIC!!!Today`s population doesn`t even know about this man. They just listen some bullshit like Jay-z,The game,Lil wayne,Soulja boy...He is the worlds first reapper and DJ.I mean LOL.

  • @NestleUnit If you're going to try to defend old school, at least do your research properly. It's DJ Kool Herc, AKA Kool Herc or his real name, Clive Campbell. Otherwise, you make a good point.

  • @Ghinsoo could have checked on wiki like you did noob...

  • @Ghinsoo Erms.. DJ Kool and DJ Kool Herc are NOT the same person dude. This is a DJ Kool track not DJ Kool Herc. You are right Herc is Clive Campbell but the much lesser legendary DJ Kool is named John Bowman. Otherwise, you make a good point.

  • Grand Master Flash

  • rap and hip hop today is a joke

  • yes it is. All jacked up on autotune rapping about gettin wasted and fucking mad bitches

  • you can say that again

  • no, rap. not hip hop

  • @michaelm815 rap today is just throwing 3 different words together and saying it's good

  • @michaelm815 True Shit.

  • @michaelm815 I say it only exists in the underground today. And in bboying.

  • @michaelm815 got that right

  • @michaelm815 you havent listened to ecstatic by mos def then?

  • @michaelm815 what about the roots ? q-tip ? artofficial ? crown city rockers ? hocus pocus ? theophilus london ? pat D ? hordatoj ? lol u should listen to more bands...

  • @gigantomaquia Agreed. Plus it's not like this anything more than a party song.

  • @michaelm815 NOT REALLY, IT'S JUST A LITTLE HARDER FOR US TO FIND THE REAL ONES LIKE BACK IN THE DAY WHEN THE TRAIN HAD IT'S FIRST RUN ON THE TRACKS, EXPLORE FIND THEM AND SUPPORT THEM, THEY ARE OUT THERE, THEY ARE HERE, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE, BUT UNLESS WE SEE THEM ON TV, WE PASS THEM BY.........SO SAD....

  • @michaelm815 u know it

  • @michaelm815 you must be listening to too much mainstream. Dig deeper, search afar. The best hip hop doesn't jump on your lap, you have to find it...

  • @jimmiow Don't spose you'd care to help me out and send me a little message with some recommended artists?

  • Lawes27

Mos Def/Talib/Q-Tip all have been still releasing & doing stuff. That is already 3 huge names from the hip-hop scene, Depends what type of hip-hop you are after though. Though it was from the 90s Black Eyed Peas first two albums are a good gem to have, they were funk/RNB influenced. Even better was the predecessor Atban Klanns unreleased ''GrassRoots'' that was jazz samples. I highly recommend them 3 for their beats.

  • @TheTvrulesthenation That's cool man cheers, I have albums by Talib and Mos' Discog already though, I was more after modern releases but underground, non commerical.

  • Lawes27

Can't say i'm that versed in the hip-hop scene especially American hip-hop. Vthov isn't too bad, he'd be the only one i could name however. I'd guess going to the clubs where small artists play would be the best way. I do recommend Atban Klann (90s pre-bep) however, its great if you are into all de la soul/tribe called quest sort of sound

  • @TheTvrulesthenation De la, Tribe, Souls of mischief, it's all good

  • @jimmiow thats mean

  • @trickwire325 no its not. You're a fucken moron is mean

  • this is how rap should be
