Hey, i have a big problem. My Cm046 is damaged. I got it about 2 months ago from Evike.com. So i wanted to know what you guys think. When i put the battery into my gun and when i pull the trigger it doesn't do anything. The connector and the battery get hot. I used 3 different (but same type of battery). I tried 3 of my 8.4v 1100 MAH, and they didnt work

@MusicForTheSoul221 Exactly, i just got a KWA SR-12 and it outranges my friends CM046 and it says 400 FPS, and the chances are that the price of this gun it wont last very long firing that hot, maybe a few months to a year if you fire every weekend or so in skirmishes?

I suppose so, since CYMA internals aren't the best in the airsoft industry. Really, when looking at purchasing an airsoft gun, you need to look at the manufacturer, the quality of the build material, the internals, and lastly, you could look at the FPS. FPS isn't the determining factor when choosing an airsoft gun, it should be the quality of the gun itself, both externally and internally.

@MusicForTheSoul221 Yeah, one example is the Systema PTW Max gets a range of 120 feet (It says that, I'm not positive) Yet most higher end guns will EASILY reach over that, and the Systema PTW Max gets like 600 FPS, just an example, by the way can you answer this? To break in midcaps, do you load them as full as you can get them and leave them in the mag for the spring to weaken, because i can only get like 70bbs in 130rnd mags right now because the speedloader refuses to load more in, thanks.

That might be the problem. You may have decompressed the spring in your magazine by pre - loading your mid - capacity magazine. Or, the problem may be that your speedloader isn't strong enough to push in that extra amount of BBs. You should try using the old style speedloader, the amount of BBs you can push in all depends on your physical strength, not the strength of the speedloader.

However, it is shooting waaaay too hot ... at least for indoors... The transition into the pistol will come into play as you get closer outdoors.

Note, this /is/ blowback for those of you arguing semantics. As the piston moves forward, some of the air used to otherwise propel the BB is re-directed to the bolt,, blowing it backwards. Even if it were just a mechanical linkage, it is still referred to as "blowback" (Note "Electric Blow Back or EBB). Terms like "bolt back" are... needlessly confusing and absurd.

The really hot guns tend to settle to a lower FPS, but only by 20-30. This is still a bit hot for my tastes, but for a blowback rifle.... I'd be willing to pop for a lighter spring. It'd preserve the gun longer as well.

yeah, thats true, really IMO a beginner should have one of the old WELLFIRE guns, they are $90-$110, same spring and internals as a marui, ok shimming, the right amount of grease (cheap though) ~15 rps with the 8.4v battery, 350 rd hicap, upper 200 for fps. not all maruis are over 280 though, AEX has a few for around $200, though maruis aren't for newbies. The quality is actually on par with the $200 china guns, and like a marui, they last very long. I have had one for 3 years with no problems.

True, I don't play all that often but I'm not too bad. I don't want to get expensive guns if I don't play often. I'm getting th AGM MP-40 soon, but I want to find a mag pouch on the internet. I know that it doesn't hold alot of ammo but spraying and praying instead of picking you shots isn't the best play style.

When I got into the sport I said #%@ FPS. And I still stand by that statement. Even with their low fps TMs can shoot further and more accurately than chinese clones and better rof than them as well. TM internals are very sturdy too. 400 fps springs in pot metal gearboxes will probably cause chinese clones to explode anyways.

more accurately, yes, but they generally both shoot about equal distance, the clones range is due to the unnessecary fps, while the superior hopup of a TM gets more range, the 100-180 excess fps of a clone will give it just enough range to equal, though not best a TM. All I needed in my JG m16 was install a tightbore and a madbull red bucking with x nub to get it to shoot farther than most guns, with some more tuning, it shoots 450 fps easy with insane range, I play as a DM with 75 foot minimum.

@milsimjunkie I think that it is good that it shoots hot because it hurts more when you are playing "surrender" (it is a game that my friend made up because no matter what there will always be people playing you just surrender when you don't want to get shot at anymore and get switched to the other team) and with games like that it helps a lot and you could just get a smaller spring and it wont be shooting as hot also it helps strike fear into the enemies eyes lol

Doesn't that fps seem a little high? I know for the airsoft players in Texas, we can't have an AEG shoot over 400 fps due to safety concerns, both for the players and the guns. Can the guns handle an M130 spring stock? Good review, though, keep em' coming.

you dont usually field blowback aeg's they are too easy to break, but you could downgrade the spring, or leave it compressed to tune it down
