The song(s) this one particularly Lisbon Antigua put me square back in time 1954/55. Sent this to a friend not feeling well and he was lifted by the song(s) and that bike. His comment was this was his Schwinn bike back then. Thanks for the pic and the song. Wonderful.
as far as I know this bike pic wasnt cover of any LP by Nelson Riddle, pick looks newer than 1950s, dont see an connection between the song and a bike
Lison antigua entered the billboard best seller chart (Top 25 chart) at number 21 on December 31 (issue date) on is 9th week on chart it hit number one replacing Rock and Roll waltz by Kay Starr, it stayed number one for four weeks being replaced by Poor People of Paris by Lex Baxter. It stayed 22 weeks on the Billboard best seller charts -
@Brooklynskipper87 dear brooklyn dodger: dont feel too sorry for lisbon. it was like the #4 greatest instrumental hit of all time in the rock and roll era meaning 1955 thru about 1974 or so. not too bad company being up there with theme from a summer place and cherry pink and apple blossom and tequila, u know???ck it out under billboard.
This tune is very special to me. I can remember playing as a child on my living room floor and hearing this tune come on the radio. The piano part made me think of those music boxes with the dancing ballerinas! I believe it came out in 1954.

@Tigerroux I'm glad to hear that you really appreciate this song and it makes you think of your childhood.
I'm 23, but when I was a kid, I listened to all of these songs on these Time Life sets and I love all of them.
And I do believe this song came out in 1954.
