I had a snare off to the side of me and while practicing the stick bounced outta my hand, over my shoulder and I caught it in mid air and because of the momentum I hit the other snare still in time ! It was one of the coolest things I've seen so I worked it into my playing. Now, if I don't have my left snare I wind up "air" smacking it because it's second nature. :)

@Nursesaids It was an accident. I had a snare then bought a new. I set the old one to the side and started to play when the stick flew out of my hand and over my shoulder and right into my left hand without missing a beat. And the HEAVENS opened and the ANGELS sang.... coolest thing EVER! So, I worked on that. Numerous hits to the face, black eyes, bloody lips.... yup!!
