250cc bikes are for economical commuters that want to be a bit sporty and have fun, the CBR250RR fits the bill perfectly, especially since fuel injection helps it start way easier on cold mornings and have ~15mpg better fuel economy over the ninja. If your complaint is speed over economy.. just buy a CBR600RR. I own both a Ninja 250R and CBR600RR, the CBR600RR is a much smoother and easier to drive than the Ninja 250R for me, even though I've rode the ninja for 2 years longer.

You guys can say what you want about 250s, but from personal experience they are the best bike to drive around town. I had a ninja 250 and moved up to a r6, love the r6 but miss the comfort and the erganomics of the 250.

@805jose actually everywhere else the ninja 250 is fuel injected the north american version is carbed this was done intentionally to keep the price at a certain point kinda pointless i think since fi isnt really something new but anyways sucks for us north americans we dont get the fuel injected ninja :(

I always love the more power comments, not everone want to moto gp it everwhere we go or do tricks and stunts, there is a growing market segment of people who want transportation to get to an from, great gas miliege an not have to worry about getting run over buy some fool in a car because your on a 50cc scooter, face it bikes are not just for the cool kids and the daredevils anymore.

ive just been into honda to actually have a look at one of these and this vid does not do it any justice. The bike looks way better in real life, especially in black. i know a lot of people would disagree but it may even be nicer than the Ninja, its kinda more smooth and slick. But then again i am bias, i did just buy one.... :)

Every magazine i have picked up says the ninja 250r is faster by only a hair... but the cbr250r is by far a way better buy. easier to maintain, more durable, corners better, available ABS, fuel injected, ect. not to mention the ninja's ugly playschool looking instrument panel compared to the cbr's pro looking panel. "design" is the bike as a whole. Its not like their Rossi's backups... there 250's. 129 likes, 2 dislikes. do the math bro!

I loved the video, how it compares riding the motorcycle to flying. So TRUE, all the wind & the sound of the engine. It don't matter what bike you ride, riding is BEAUTIFUL. I LOOOVE single cylinders. This should make a great bike to start with. If all I had for the rest of my life was a 250 single I would be happy :) For a Honda, I am surprised at the MSRP. Usually it would be $1000 more expensive lol

I think the old cbr250rr with it's 4 stroke 18,000rpm package would destroy this honda.. and then an aprillia rs250 would destroy that. though that is a 2-stroke.

worst part is, if you compare this to the MC22 CBR250R, this bike is FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR Inferior.

Simpler engine, FAR less power, MUCH WORSE engine sound, uglier and most importantly, probably more expensive too.

@wolfyys i don't think its so much as devolution.. but more like they are catering to a new generation of rider. Gas prices are climbing and the one cylinder is allowing somewhat similar power to the kawasaki while providing the necessary mpg's that will give them the sale.

I would advise you achaluppal not to keep your hopes high. mileage will be around 27kmpl. remember its not a economy bike like cdr 100. its a sports bike. onroad it will cost more than 1.5lakh

Id stay away from the Hondas produced in Thailand. Nothing but troubles with my CBR125R which was built just there. And Honda warranty did nothing for me, stay away from Honda. Do yourself a favour buy a Kawasaki. Thats what Im getting next year.

looks nice, but lets be honest - the people who buy this will be 17 - 21 who have a restricted licence... and most 17 - 21 year olds can't afford £4000 for a new CBR... so they will either get a second hand Ninja 250... or get a second hand CBF250 like I did, has the same power as the CBR, weighs less, you can get a top box on the back and it does 90mpg... gotta admit it looks good though...

I kind of like the styling. However this egine being a single cylinder,may vibrate a little more than the Ninja 250 which is a parallel twin and the Ninja may rev up quicker. The Ninja 250 is proven,this is not and the new Ninja 400 R will eat this for lunch.
