The points Nash is making about Flair is pretty much exactly what Nash himself has done to other talents in the locker room and now he's in WWE trying to play off the 'I'm a legend of the business' line to CM Punk oh the fucking irony Nash what a fucking hyprocrite bastard.
@vitorbelfort In all reality, Nash would probably not even be CLOSE to a legend, if the Kliq had never existed. He was a good, but never truly great wrestler. It's a wonder what having a little back stage power can do.
@DJDeCiBeL01 haha, Nash had as much with making the Kliq a force in wrestling as much as the next member. And i can tell you have no grasp on wrestling when you say "Nash was a good wrestler, but never truly great". Nash was never even a GOOD wrestler, he has like 5 spots. What made Nash a legend is his impact on the business, his shoots, his bad ass attitude, size, jack knife powerbomb and alliance with Scott Hall. Fuck the Kliq, its all about Nash and Hall.
@vitorbelfort LOL, I thought you might have something to say about the "good, but not truly great" line, and I agree, that was a bad choice of words, but I still stand by my point about the Kliq. Had it not been for the Kliq and the power that it afforded him, I highly doubt that he would have ever had the balls to walk from WWF and start the whole Outsiders angle with Hall in WCW. We'll never know because it's a moot point; just food for thought.
@DJDeCiBeL01 fair enough. Regardless, you can't deny he had an amazing run in WCW and did some truly innovative angles. I will admit i am partial to Nash (and Hall) because they are my favorite wrestlers of all time and two cool SOB's.
Nash is right, but he fails to mention the newer generation, such as Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Dean Malenko that THEY were screwing in the EXACT same manner as they felt Flair, Piper, Dusty Rhodes, and their generation were screwing THEM.
Interesting to hear Nash reference his and Hall's first WCW runs which ironically were while Flair was in WWF. Funny only because of how Flair was "WCW tradition" while Nash/Hall were the WWF invaders.
What's funny is when Scott Steiner shot on Flair a couple years later, he used the same Buddy Rogers rip off insult. Flair is truly one of the most hated backstabbing stooges in wrestling.
Everytime they say Nash "lost it" I ALWAYS thought about this promo. One of his best EVER. THIS is the Nash we wanted to check-in during his feud with CM Punk this past summer but unfortunately to NO-AVAIL! Hope to see THIS Nash back on the mic soon 'cause as soon as HE does CM Punk and Kevin Nash are gonna have one hell of an exchange promo-wise
He could have been doing this promo today. "...a bunch of guys pushing their sons. If you didn't have a dad in the business..." Orton? Cody Rhodes as IC champion? It's one thing to be Rey Mysterio's height if you've got his in ring abilities, but let's get real.
To those saying Nash was old, he was 37, which was in his prime, especially in that era.
For those saying he holds down youngsters/pot kettle black etc, its not his fault he draws better than most of the young guys, its up to them to step up, I doubt Nash has a problem playing a bit part to them, just like he is now in WWE.
In fact Nash hasnt been in a long run of spotlight since WCW. Maybe TNA, but thats all relative, and again its not his fault that hes a better money draw.
I don't really see the shoot here. The only thing that was remotely close to a shoot for me was the part where he mentioned how tough it was to get into the business without being a 2nd-gen superstar.
@tncl85 ...everything Big Sexy was talkin about was true...before him and Hall went to the "E" as it's known now wcw was all about well NOTHING. until Hall and Nash and Hogan and Sleasy E came along Ted Turner had no clue what he was doing or who he wanted to run it
He shouldn't talk...he's been burying guys for a long time..he's no different..him, Hogan, Triple H..they're all the same..what a fucking hypocrite...
@Cocker007 True, but he learned from the best. Let's be honest people, there's always people who, whether meaning to or not, will be holding the others down. The same thing can be said about Cena and Orton today. Perhaps they don't mean to hold people back, but someone has to be on top. Also, when people talk about how it's time for the "young guys to shine", they usually mean guys in their late 20's and early 30's. People always think they're talking about guys barely out of their f'n teens.
"we have no problem flying commercial, piling 3 guys in a rented taurus..." how many people immediately thought of the nwo B-team at the airport complaining about getting taurus's while hogan and the wolfpac rode in style.
@lee47848 a lot of it was scripted yes, but I am willing to bet that during this time or shortly there after when a lot of wrestlers started getting pissed off and doing weird rants and strange matches (buff bagwell laying down for La parka, Rowdy Piper going apeshit on a back stage set) I think those were legit on air protests.
@KalvinEllis "Their prime" has changed by generation. Hogan was in his mid-30s when he was in full force on the Hulkamania train. Nash could work much better than him, so not a problem if he was 38/39 during this, haha
Funny--now everyone is saying the same about these guys..and the sad fact is none of those guys in the ring was worth anything, with the POSSIBLE exception of Kevin Nash (maybe).
@Clintbdee Scott "Flash" Norton is credited by many as one of the most underused guys in recent wrestling history. If you actually watched him wrestle, he was worth something in the ring
@Quentin242451 Yeah I agree, I wished we had seen a lot more of Norton in the WCW and/or WWE than we have. To my understanding he just went to Japan and became a big star there, I guess he just likes/liked it better in Japan? Did the guy have issues with Bischoff and/or Vince?
@BradNC11175 Norton has for a long time been highly respected in japan.he wrestled over there from the late 80's to I think the mid 90's. Previous to that he was part of the Yukon lumber jacks with John Nord in the AWA.
@MrMolmem Part of the job of a "rassler" is to make ya think they are tough guys. Maybe as a fan one can be tempted to ponder who really is a tough guy and who isn't. Ya might look at one guy and say "I could whoop him" another and say "I'm not sure if I could whoop him" and another and say "no way in hell I could whoop that guy!". My guess is most of those "rasslers" are pretty tough fellas. Norton seems like he'd be a bad son of a bitch for real, hence Norton's appeal. Way to under used.
@BradNC11175 from what I have read, Haku (meng) was truly one of the toughest men ever. Macho man has stated on many occasions when he would go out drinking he would bring haku along to watch his back.
@MrMolmem Yeah I had heard that about Haku too. He was a Samoan wasn't he? If so I understand about all of those Samoan guys were tough SOBs. I always figured Ole Anderson would be a guy you wouldn't wanna pick a fight with and same with Stan Hansen... well the list could go on lol. Back in the old days some of the local and regional promoters wanted their guys to go to the bars & clubs and get into fights for PR purposes and if a wrestler lost a bar fight to a regular guy he was out of a job.
These guys are so oblivious to what Vince McMahon is plotting to do to them here. They thought they were on top of the world but were in their final days.
@koalajones88 doubtful anyone was thinking of chynas butch face when stacey keibler, torrie wilson, trish stratus, lita and francine were around. is chyna the ugliest woman ever in wrestling, no ,shes not, but compared to the other females in wrestling at the time, she defently didnt come across as good looking
The irony that a guy now in his 50's along with his waster buddies have done nothing but hold down guys and rake money from companies for doing shit for the last decade and still complain about young guys not deserving a chance cut his promo and he was hardly a spring chicken and was about 40 at this time.
They were never fond of anyone new coming through and dragged this nWo gimmick on far too long, less 20 minute bitch fests and more wrestling that got young guys over would of been nice.
Nash talking about Piper and Flair is 100% correct....shame he was Hogans puppet or he would have mentioned Hogan and cut the best promo of his life.....As for sean waltman....waste of oxygen....such a fake.
I feel with Nash comments might have been a litle true, but if the WWF treated them so well and WCW didn't in the early 90's why in the hell did they come back to WCW in 1996 he should've stayed in WWF. Where is Scott Hall now let me check the nereby rehab.
This bunch couldnt draw flys if the were standing on a pile of steaming crap. If they hadnt had there head up Bishoffs hind end getting a salary ,they would have starved to death bouncing at a tittie bar somewhere. P.S. Waltman you couldnt carry Buddy Rogers jock .I hope ypu and that freak Joanie are having a nice life.
doesn't anybody else kinda think that this shoot killed the "outsider" gimmick that the NWO started with in the beginning, admitting they were in WCW before ready to become superstars?
@martrocksnuts F%&* VIRGIL! What a piece of sh*t...I seen him at a convention, not one person around or close to his booth, I asked him for a quick cell phone pic, he tells me only if I PAY. F that piece of trash jabroni and he should go back to being MDM's butler!

P.S. Waltman you couldnt carry Buddy Rogers jock .I hope ypu and that freak Joanie are having a nice life.
zybeco 11 months ago
@zybeco Yeah, they never drew a dime. The nWo was unsuccessful. WCW never took the lead in the ratings. Glad you've figured it all out.
WHAT A DUMBASS!
Rasha5377 10 months ago 3
doesn't anybody else kinda think that this shoot killed the "outsider" gimmick that the NWO started with in the beginning, admitting they were in WCW before ready to become superstars?
kmadison03 11 months ago
Look at the adjective: "Work" Work and put on a good show.
Nash isn't here to "Work!" He's here to "Shoot!" and just look like a jackass.
And you can bet Big Sexy knows his adjectives.
