IMO the single most important and most simple tip about cables, ropes, xmas lights, hoses, etc is: keep the ends separate from the bulk (be it coil or just a jumbled mass in a bucket or whatever). Once you realize that your life with "long things" will forever be a whole lot easier. Cheers.
We used to call it the reverse wrap or the Show Co. wrap back in the 80.s...Its the natural way that the cable was originally wound on the spool. Great imfo for the yadda's that still using the hand and elbow technique! A 200 foot 40 channel sound snake still a bit tought to do! lol!!! TC Dave from Canada

in my 20 years in this business, I've never heard of a "roadie wrap." Kids, don't ever call it that on a gig, it's an over/under.
