Ya, that would have been nice obviously, but remember- Desmond had a vision thing that Penny came to the island, and Charlie got hit in the neck with an arrow. Since he saved Charlie, Penny didn't come. Same thing would have happened this time; If Charlie saved himself, the helicopter wouldn't have came. Charlie knew that he had to die in order for rescue to come, so he let himself die. He definitely had time to get out of the room, but he chose to sacrifice himself instead :(

This is an amazing video! I miss Charlie so much and I really thought they were going to find a way to keep him alive. His death scene was so sad. Charlie and Des are awesome, LOST is just the best show

I agree with you and i also i am a bit disappointed that if Charlie is really dead ,and as one of the most loved chars in the show, his char at least deserved somekinda last flashback, anyways i still do not loose faith as Mikhail was alive from many "deaths"... I also want a Flashback for Rousseau!! 5/5 btw.

Well "being dead on the island isn't the end. It's just the beginning." That's what Carlton or Damen (can't remember which) said during the latest Lost podcast. They also hinted at the fact that there will be a flashback for Rousseau.

& I also doubt Mikail is dead. Besides when he exploded with the grenade and all the water suddenly rushing into The Looking Glass, wouldnt debri of him be forced in too? The only way that wouldnt happen is if hes still in one piece and was able to get away. :P
