Has anybody had any problems with the Twister starting up by itself... full throttle and no control from the radio? If so do you have any ideas or solutions?
buy better servos , dx7 are not all that good dx9 are awesome no jitter , picking up interferance may be , your main sharft may be bent,, i recon u getting jitter over interferance from the esc or motor , or try another radio gear just as a sus out .. good luck hope this helps.....
I changed the servo's to Hitec 65's. They work perfect. There is nothing wrong with my DX7 its a great transmitter. I have replaced the ESC with a Trex 450 one much better then the stock one. Have not had any servo jitter since.
Yes I have replaced all the cyclic standard servos with Hitec 65 servos which work fantasic. I had to file away some plastic where the servos sit but other then that it was simple.
right the servos you get with it are shite they are like 2 dollars each buy some hs 55 for it they fit ni the gap and they are a low current draw made for electric so yep good servos
doh just saw your comment.. the servo it self seems weird to cause this problem... like I said before you kind of proved it could be a BEC/ESC issue with the motor not going. :) either way I hope its all ok now.
Looks like a brown out issue - the BEC/ESC not providing the servo enough power that it needs - ie the motor drawing too much amp/power.
Which tells me to check for binding from the gears, shaft, tail, belt - anything that moves. You should be able to spin your rotor head & have it spin about 3 ~ 4 times before it stops.
I really do think its a "brown" out issue not providing the volts needed for the servo. You kinda of prove it by un-plugging the motor & everythings fine in the pitch movement
It turned out to be a problem with the elevator servo which I have replaced. I think the servo connector wires were loose and hence the servo would jitter when the motor was running possibly causing the wires to vibrate.
