  • at 1:21 starts the music of SimCity 3000 =D

  • Cool equipment!

  • woooow love you telescope!

  • Um, before you start posting stuff to youtube with your star-testing photos of how awesome the collimation is, perhaps it would be a good idea to explain to the laymen (which is nearly everyone) what they're seeing.

  • do you have pictures of planet nibiru?

  • @butikdendi serious?

  • Wahey, tonight I could see Jupiters 4 moons too :P I've never seen jupiter before.

  • Nice footage

    Question

How did you do that with the moon?

I mean improve the images from nice to clear good images.

I have a Mead 8" and recently bought a Hyperion 5mm modular eyepiece

68 widefield MC and i can attach my Nikon D5000 camera to it.

So i can take pictures of the planets and moon.

If you could tell me how to improve the image i would realy appreciate that

    Thnx

  • @drambuie63 - Please try moon filters available in the market.

  • I'm 60 and dreading when I cannot get out there and look at the stars.

    Always the sun ???!!!

  • nice!!!

  • I've been a (lightweight) amateur astronomer all my life. I've had several different cheap telescopes. This video captures the fun and thrill of it. Photos and videos always look wavery and blurry, but there are moments when things get good and you glimpse amazing stuff with your eye to the eyepiece that doesn't get on photographs. Now here's the bad news: I'm 68 years old now, and my poor aged back, thighs and knees don't allow me to crouch for hours over a telescope. Bye-bye astronomy hobby.

  • I bet that telescope cost a fortune....

I need me one that wont break the bank

  • @AccessDenied55 Don't underestimate a decent pair of binoculars! Lots of things to see with a pair of 10x70's. Minimal investment required, and they won't break your back & bank account.

  • Saturn...your dreaming ! Top telescopes are the best junk in the world! This is a joke

  • @cp1699 are you dumb ? lol ...ohh that cant be Saturn its fake ..no thats not the moon either ...the moon is fake lol.

  • @dimetilldeath The Moon is fake.

  • ed ed and eddy music 1:42 ;)

  • cool

  • Awesome work mate - good footage, can't wait for more!

  • very good, like the music btw

  • you are so lazy that you put the default songs of the windows media player

  • And too me, I have got a 8" meade Telescope. I think, I need a bigger telescope, about 2 metre lengh pipe and 10" wide of pipe. maybe much better sharp. Perfect for Saturn and much close to Saturn's moon. maybe, One day I will buy a new one for future.

  • 3;31 that dot, i think i saw jupiters moon, probably one of its biggest moon

  • 2:02 can any 1 tell me what are the these tower like structures at the lower left

  • were did you get that telescope and how much was it

  • I want a million pound telescope aswell!

  • epic telescope

  • Exceptional efforts there, well done !

  • very nice you are not a newb to this like me tell me this please am getting a skliner12" dob for chrismas and wonder if i will see stuff like in you vids when a atach the camera to it and run it ect ?

  • @todd8137: yes, you will, if your telescope is properly cooled and collimated. But you want be able to track the object.

  • Where is the flag lol just kidding. Very detail picture from the moon

  • SIM CITY MUSIC $

  • good video amazzing footage

  • What is the title of jazz song ? First song is piece from Beethovens 9 symphony. Very nice video, very nice music !

  • Was that an airplane at 2;26 flying by?

  • hope its geting better

  • Were the moons of Jupiter hiding? I only saw one of them. I used my crappy piece of junk telescope a few nights ago and I saw at least three of them. Very bright.

  • airplane =FTW

  • Wow....amazing how fake Satarn looks....Not that Im saying it IS fake of course....but it just LOOKS so! I wonder what the first person who saw Satarn's rings thought.....probably something like "Huh?!?!.......No that cant be right.....must be something wrong with my telescope......Hmmm" LOL!!!!

  • @frankensteinmoneymac That would be Galileo Galilei in 1610.

He thought the rings looked like ears and never discovered what they actually were. :)

But yeah. It´s an odd looking planet. :)

  • @Masteradv Reading back on my comment...I noticed I was spelling Saturn, as "Satarn".....dear God I must have been drunk or something when I wrote that!

  • great images, ha of all the space in d sky the plane went by the part you wer lookin at, cool

  • aezakmi79 is full of shit...

  • where are the stars on saturn

  • nice pictures ']

  • Being a jazz bassist, classical cellist, and an amateur astronomer, the music with the astronomical imagery was absolute heaven! I listen to jazz music while I observe, so this was an enjoyable video for me to watch. My moods and feelings of something can be really influenced by music!

  • all the shots of jupiter also has a few of its moons in it if you look close enough, anyway a very nice video, jupiter is my favorite planet to look at and its almost at opposition now

  • Did you ever see any anomalies on the moon??

  • What was the focal length on the 6" newt.

  • fucking amazing. I've only been able to spot jupiter with my Celestron AstroMaster 70 ( I know it's a bit weak but it's a great starter telescope) so far.

  • lawl windows xp built in media...

  • the music seems oddly familar.......

  • Good Job Fellow Astronomer! great music, you sure do know how to put relaxing tunes...

  • Great video and escellent music, keep sharing please, Thanks!

  • @MrAsheesh09 no cops cheat for gta sa xD

  • i thought i could see saturn bigger with the telescope with that size.. how much did u pay , are you satisfied with the scope .. saturn andmars are very far from moon or are they very small ?

  • Awesome vid!! I am researching how to get into amateur astronomy with a view to trying astrophotography -- how do you get the clear crisp images from the shimmering images you see through the eyepiece? Photoshop a bit?... awesome video, thanks for posting :)

  • Windows XP Sample music! lol!

  • What is the name of that song at 1:20?

  • Oh boy I totally remember that second song from so long time ago.

  • nice!!!!!

  • Nice Video. I always thought i would be able to see better images with that telescope. Now I know what not to buy. Imma trade in my car for a tele. lol

  • 1st. Nice vid, 2nd nice telecope, 3rd whats the second song? o.o

  • Dude awesome photos. I shot few moon pictures but they are exactly like 1:51. Can you tell me how you got sharp images in the follwing sequences

    Thanks

    Manoj

  • I'm after my first telescope and have no clue what any of it means.

I am on a pretty tight budget (£200-300 give or take spare brass) and I'm in the UK and can pretty much only buy from typical stores available).

I found this in Argos, is it any good or the equivalent of a zoom on a camera.

    ...

  • what is the aperture

  • whats this on 0:36???

  • and what was wrong with the dobsonian?

  • I thinking about getting a celestron 130eq with a motor. Can someone tell me if its a good move

  • @Devestato72 i would get a Celestron NEXSTAR 114 SLT it has a 1000 ml focal point also if you want to record what youre doing i would also buy the Celestron NexImage CCD Color Imager you can get all this for about £500 if you shop around

  • I went and got the celestron 130slt and i love it. I seen jupiter and its moons. Also, the red rings around it. Now i'm looking to get accessories for it

  • @Devestato72 thats a nice scope if you want to record i would suggest a Celestron NexImage CCD Color Imager

some of the images a very sharp and it takes great video

  • saving as we speak!

    ay 3.06 & 3.35.

    Were they layered with registax?

  • Nice work. how did you take the pictures?

  • i want one i want one i want one

  • Respect, for this video, weiter so....

  • plz can u tell me what u used to take thes pictures coz i realy whant to know for my telescope

  • Very good! has a quality cause they are not perfect

  • Very interesting video and great job! Thank you. Great resolution of planets also.

  • I like them airy disks ;) they seem pretty cool when your unfocussed

  • what is the circle? Arcturus???

  • If you are talking about the aircraft jumping over the moon, that might be Microsoft One or Air Force One with a Bush on board.

  • how much is such a telescope?

  • Thinking of buying a Telescope,,can you recomend one,,and how much would a Telescope like you have cost ??

  • his telescope costs US$ 1,200

  • -.^

  • grat for da video! did u use Registax to stack frames? and which webcam? any filters? its specially hard to get saturn's cloud patterns, nice job!

  • is that jazz song John Coltrane?? Cause I recognize it, but after having like every album you forget what is what.

  • @grimreepher

New Stories (Highway Blues) - Marc Seales

  • What program you used to perform the images?

  • JAjajaja... songs from windows...

  • how much was this telescope i was wondering if it is better to start with a cheap one or should i go ahead and try to get a expensive on (not to expensive??

  • im surprised they don't have the technology to see saturn and jupiter real close up with a ground telescope you can buy or is it because of the atmosphere

  • It's mostly because of the atmosphere and light pollution, however I bet a gigantic observatory telescope can get a much better view than most hobbyists can.

  • Telescopes are a blast !

  • pedazo de pajero !!

  • hey just wondering if u knew what this is. but tonight i was looking at the moon with a telescope i got nothing big. but i seen i tiny bright white spec between 2 craters. its sorta throwing a glow to it. just wondering. i never seen it there before

  • could be intelligent non-organic matter. and if its moving and flashing, as you say, and not moving in a linear motion them it could be possible.

  • Great movie... inspired me...just one week with a simple telescope now, but love images and movies you made ...

    Thanks!

  • I just bought Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ Telescope APERTURE 130mm, FL 650mm, FR=5 and it comes with 10mm lens and 20mm lens. first do i need Celestron Ultima 1.25 in 2x to get closer images, second i just bought this one and i can exchange it with Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ 1000mm APERTURE 114mm FR 8.77 or keep the 130EQ?

  • Keep the 130mm

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

  • sent you vid my first time out with Celestron8SE,this vid is part one of six!!,first digital imagery camara wouldn't accsept filter comands like gama ray, frame per second, sateration levels, brightness, grrr, dew tubes are must for late morning views jupiter an such, stops lens from foging,i use fliters like uch/ir cut off, speacil moon filter for moon

  • Good inspirational video, thanks.

  • I need to know something- is a Meade DS-2000 Refracting telescope a good or bad one? what do I do to get picture like this on it?

  • don't try this with the sun in person >:D tehehe

  • that was nice...

    nice background music too...

do u know who composed that song?

  • the first one (and repeated at the end) is one of Beethoven's 9th symphony movements. (I don't know wich one, but surely it is not "Ode to Joy" :p)

  • Nice pics. I love the Windows XP sample music too! LOL

  • sure looks like fun. nice photos

  • greatt!! is a 130 mm?=)

  • how do you hook your camera up to it?

  • i saw ganymede near the far side of Jupiter in one of those pix (i guess it is ganymede since it is bigger than mercury and the dot was small)

  • lucky to get the plane occultation.

  • i love u videos.

  • What do you use to enhance the footage ?

    Very well done.

  • Great Shots!

  • Great music!!!... uhm... and great pictures too!!!

  • Very gooood video. Do you have a blog or myspace or a web page where I can see your photos in full size? Thank you.

  • Well done. Interesting comparisons, thank you.

  • is your scope a refract or a reflect.

  • wow! some really amazing shots! isn't it great to be doing this an age where high quality equipment and processing software is easy to come by?

my next scope will have tracking, for certain.

  • Great videos and shots of the planets. Would love more long videos like this!
