  • was the air tank near an oil drum? cause if you look at 1:28 the fire is hitting the ground like it was oil on fire or some type of liquid.

  • it was an air tank and we are vollys that barn was down when we got there and we had two trucks on the road in no time

  • Firtog, as I understand it youre a FF, correct? You should absultely speak with your chief/safety officer and make this mandatory viewing (Im oing to instruct my men and women to watch it). It is another example of "no such thing as a routine fire". It is also a GREAT reminder to always - ALWAYS - wear full PPE. Job well done by these vollies(?) ! And great job filiming it. Stay safe!

  • Thank you and this is one for the training side of things your are correct about that

  • That was more than compressed air. I'd guess propane tank. The increase in flame just before the boom looks like a combustible gas of some type.

  • This was NOT a propane cylinder. If it were the entire 'cloud' would've ignited. As it is, you can see aroind 1:30 the non-ignited 'cloud' falling to the ground. Search YouTube for: BLEVE

  • the heat hitting the compressed air could cause this to happen

  • what caused this? great video btw!!!

  • Great video!
