I feel you phiksit...I'm only a few weeks away from completing Prototype and actually making it through the pipeline but I failed A-school math and P-Math...never took anything above Alg II in high school and it definitely wooped my ass in the pipeline
I got part way through the enlisted nuke program, but the math was just too much for me. You have to know your calculus before you enter this program, and I never studied it before. I was lost after only a few months into it :( So I ended up just going conventional propulsion (machinist mate).
yeah, the proper way to learn mathematics is to "just do the problem sets" like 0633767jerishowrulez said you need to "psych your self into liking it" and things will fall into place. A big plus in that girls dig guys that know their numbers. Best of Luck
also you are never too far behind to learn mathematics, but remember that each course builds on each other so don't cut corners and within ~3 years you can complete calculus(starting at the bottom and working yourself to the top)Algebra -> Algebra II -> Trigonometry -> Pre-Calculus -> Calculus I -> Calculus II -> Calculus III ->
-> note that around Calculus II you can also start taking Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. These are ABOUT all the Math course a Engineer will need to take. Best of Luck
i think the reason why people hate math is because it has nothing to do with our daily lives. but even if you hate it you can psych your self into liking it if you really want to.
